Readers, how does a book having DRM affect your buying decision?

I answered "I don't care", but actually I would pay several dollars more for a book that is not DRM-encumbered.

is the third option an error? i cant understand why anyone would prefer buying books with drm. i prefer buying books without drm, but since that's not an option, i'm selecting "never"

I also had to vote "never" because there was no choice to describe my practice of not buying DRM protected items that I expect to reread or want to pass on to family or friends. I will buy DRM protected items I would read once and discard if they were print items. I will also buy DRM protected items if they are free or so cheap that it will be no great loss to lose them when my current ereader dies or becomes obsolete. Why was there no choice for "t prefer DRM free'"

I voted that I would NEVER buy a book with DRM but that is only because there was not a choice "I will avoid buying a book that has DRM if possible". I will, for example, accept a DRM book that has a price of FREE because if I lose it I have not lost anything of value. I have also purchased a few books (less than ten out of 1300) that have DRM because they were not available anywhere else except on paper and not in a large print edition.
