I like kara alot she is a sweet girl. Katy on the other hand i liked untill i seen her on idol.She was a @#$%&. But she would be a good simon,replacement but i do not know what would be more interresting watching them being sent to hollywood or the girls going at it

I really enjoyed watching Katy blast Kara over and over.... Of course I may be biased as I don't like Kara at all.... was hoping she would not be back this year.... Also...once Simon is gone we will need another tell it like it is judge.... :-) On the other hand...Shania is Canadian...so I would root for her just based on that..... :-)

I loved Katy Perry! She gives American Idol a spice that's gonna be lost when Simon leaves the show! She's the girl version of Simon!!!!! Love IT!!!!!!

I think the two guest judges were the worse I'd ever seen on the show, one was way to young and inmature and the other just a real snob. I think Kara's comments were far more helpful to the contestants then the other two. People are having a hard enough time missing Paula and dealing with losing Simon next year so please stop pushing all these guest judges on the viewers.

Kara puts anyone thru ... like the beat box guy ... sometimes they don't take that job serious enough. let's get good or great singers but the stories pulling on our heartstrings every week are getting sooo old. we all have sad stories and with the right spin everyone on the planet can make their life sound difficult.

I really don't like Kara, something about her whole personality has been annoying me since day one. I was so thrilled w/ the Katy smack down!!! I'll take more of that please. Yes, Kara has had a long career but her whole persona is just "ewish" (I know that isn't a word, but I've yet -and I have been trying- to find the word to describe the annoyance I feel whenever she opens her mouth.

I think Katy would be great for the job, unlike Kara and Shania who are VERY biased by the contestants' personalities and life stories, which gets OLD after a while..it is afetrall, a SINGING competition!!! Go Katy!!!! She made AI worth watching again!!!

GO SHANIA! Who has the most experience and is one of the best live performers out there (even though it's been awhile). SHANIA! She's also a positive influence and all around REAL lady!
