I agree completely with Mr. Hollis. A golf course under public (Cleve. Hts./Univ. Hts./South Euclid) or private management would be fantastic and something to benefit all age groups. Let's keep it green!

I agree totally with the above comment by Richard Hollis. We certainly do not need more retail space, and the majority of the property should remain as greenspace, either as golf, or preferably, as semi-wild area, with developed hiking and cross-country ski trails. I think a consortium of the neighboring communities, or else the Metroparks, could acquire and manage it. Oakwood would be an ideal place to construct a state-of-the-art indoor swimming facility that so many people have yearned for. There are also an indoor tennis facility that could remain. The clubhouse could be either publically or privately managed as a restaurant, conference center, banquet facility.
I think a portion of the property, perhaps on the southern end, could be used for an upscale townhouse development, with its own entrance on Warrensville Center Road. The sale of this property would help finance the purchase of the whole project.
The opportunity to develop this tract of land into a park is a "once in a generation event". In fact, this is probably the last large tract of land in Cleveland Heights that will ever come up for sale again. I think that now is the time for our generation to act and ensure that future residents will have an asset that they can enjoy and will benefit the neighboring communities .

I feel that the Oakwood property should be kept pretty much as it is. The golf course could be turned into a public (pay to play) course and there could be walking and cross country ski trails through out the property. The club house could, in all probability, be utilized in its present form for offices or a conference center. To let a developer come in and build another shopping cener, which we certainly do not need, or more housing that will sit unsold, would be a travesty.
