In order to place some perspective on the results of this poll, does anyone know roughly how many Incredibles Verizon has sold so far?

Verizon fixed mine by applying a hybrid pro for Alltel Verizon. My battery is why I'm concerned.

Check the signal strength in Settings > About Phone > Status > Signal Strength. Check the dBm on both phones. This will show the signal, HTC may have a different way to display the signal.

Acceptable performance in the sticks with only one bar, same as previous phone. Nice to finally have a signal strength meter that is honest and linear. Many phones break up even when showing multiple bars.

Right now I am submitting this reply from my device. honestly I have not noticed the bar thing as so far I have been having great reception with the device. I have also tested the 3g speed with the speedtest app and do reads about 400-500 kbps inside building. I am really happy with the speed ! now my friend has a MOTO Droid And I am gonna test the two devices side by side and let you guys know about it soon. so far I can say the following
1) the call quality is really good and I have had no problems what so ever.
2) 3g speed is really great. can watch YouTube without any buffering issues
3) sense UI is AWESOME
4) the phone itself is superman
5) screen is fantastic
my only complain so far OS just the battery. it barely lasts one day (9 am - 11 pm) I am hoping they will release a better battery for such a great device

When I first got it I was kinda scared seeing the low bars on my screen. But I know this isn't a good meeting device. But after using mine for a couple days now I'm seeing that I'm getting awesome signal, call quality, and 3g internet speeds. So I'm not concerned. Battery life on the other hand is a totally different subject so far. Can't wait for the extended life battery. But definitely impressed with the phone. Also, the screen is very, very usable in direct sunlight.

I have both a Motorola Droid and HTC Incredible and noticed the signal meter was running between 1-1 1/2 bars lower on the HTC. I did further testing and found the call quality and internet speedwere the same on both devices.. in fact the HTC beat the Motor in download speed tests I performed using the speedtest.net app. I think the signal meter is off and/or reads much lower.

Ignoring bars b/c not only is my call quality much betterf than my droid, so is my 3g
Same signal readings as my verizion Imagio...great call quality with no bars...
The number of bars you have does not accurately reflect signal strength. I'm ignoring the word bars and voting based on my reception.
