In my opinion, the "lack of commitment and intensity" could be partly attributed to the timing of the "IPL". Players need to be in a training camp for a period of time, before a major tournament, for the purposes of gelling together as a team & for sorting out issues like facing short-pitched bowling, playing conditions etc. This was not possible, as the entire Indian team was involved in the IPL tournament which ended just 5 days before the T20 World Cup tournament in the West Indies. Add to that the partying & travelling involved with the IPL that contributed to the dissipation of mental focus & physical energy. Many foreign players came in late & were few, when taken country-wise. The IPL has been blamed even for the South African's poor performance, by some. Barring Robin Uthappa's omission, I think the best possible team was selected.

When you see the performance on the field,i could not see the killing insticnt which i have seen with England and pakistan team.Players were slow in fielding and batting was lethargic as if they are playing ranji trophy matches.Very painful to watch this team.May be more satisfaction of money they have earned is working. high time to drop yuvraj, jadeja and even gambir. No use blaming dhoni but warn him for his batting approach.

IPL has nothing to do with bad performance, we need to have pitches similar to Barbados and we need more practice to play shortpitch deliveries. S Ramakrishnan Delhi

as we all know cricket is like religion in our countary. Instead of behaving like Lords our cricketers behaved like Jockers. Dhoni alone cannot be blamed. Team India is on the decline. all connected must wakeup before it is too late.

I go with "Lack of commitment and intensity",

Player’s body language was worst and awful, they never showed the kind of attitude one should have when you play for the country at the highest level. Apart from good fielding, T20 cricket is all about how well six batsmen play their 20 balls and how well five bowlers bowl their 20 balls at least. So our team failed in each and every aspect of game in T20 WC tournament.
This gives an impression that they did not consider the tournament as important and that is the reason why they were not serious in their approach. Indian bowlers should learn how to vary the pace and how to bowl slow balls and bouncers. I don't think the Indian batsman are bad in hitting the short pitch balls to the boundaries, we have enough players who can hit short pitch balls, the only factor lacking was, aggression, intensity and the desire to win the games for the cricket rich country.
its the desire and the passion towards the game should burn their hearts and make them play good cricket. its the passion towards the game making all of us watch the game.

I voted for "Lack of commitment and intensity" from Senior Players..
    1) Yuvraj's attitude was very poor while fielding. He is playing assuming 100% fit, if so he should field well..
    2) Gambhir's lack of intent in Batting, running and fielding..
    3) Yusuf pathan attitude on screen was so erratic, no response to running between wickets.

Like we can say so many instances..Out of 120 balls they can bowl only 20-30 short balls, they didn't show any intent to capitalize the other 90 balls..

only Raina showed a bit of commitment..other than that i can't think of any other batsmen or bowlers doing anything...

Yusuf and Jadeja are waste fellows..Sharma escaped with that innings..Vijay is not ready yet..

I think we should replace yusuf & jadeja with plaeys like Irfan and Virat..
Virat who can really play pull shots well is missed here. He shows commitment and intensity like Raina..
