Pau and artest played great but it wasn't enough. everytime that boston made a surge the Mamba steppped up and shut them down. Besides didn't you see how focused he was next to chris rock. Its definetly Kobe!

Ron Artest. He's the newest addition to the Laker starting line up. Pau and Kobe have had a chip on their shoulder since '08. So you know they were going to show up. His double technical with Paul Pierce in the first half set the Laker's physical presence for the game. His work defensively in the paint was also key and under the basket was crucial.

in all, I would make it Co-MVPS, but you asked for one and of course you have to pick Kobe. But, and this is a rather huge but, Pau Gasol deserves more than Honorable Mention because like Army's Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside, the Lakers displayed and executed that same game plan.

This series will come down to the play of the supporting cast, and Pau came up big last night. The Lakers have the better team this time around and will need to keep playing like last night to with the series.

Pau blocked a number of shots and played tall in the middle. This made a huge difference in this victory. n
