Hey mike, hoping for a crappy season just to get another high draft pick is the mindset of a LOSER. Plenty of teams build thru the draft successfully without having top ten picks every year (i.e. patriots, packers, cowboys, eagles, colts). The difference between them and us is management. Consistent, good, reliable management to draft the right players whether you're picking #1 or #100, to hire and retain good scouts, trainers and coaches and not try to steal headlines with every move. Matt Millen completely destroyed this franchise over his tenure by always trying to make the flashy move, by listening too much to public opinion polls and not his coaches (see marty morningwhig and the harrington/jammer pick) and by just plain stupidity. We now have the right GM and I think we have the right coach. Rome wasn't built in a day blah blah. But my point remains, you don't need a top ten pick every year to build a good team. If you're picking that high all the time, you're not getting the right player anyway.

let's hope lions dont win many more than 5 cause what the lions need is another early round draft pick. next year we will be the year that detroit gets its tackle, d-back and gaurd. Next year, we can win 10 and make the playof'fs but not until management get's three more guys in the draft. we have franchise QB, RB, DT and Safty.

The first 6 games will tell a lot, maybe everything about the 2010 season. The Lions play all their division rival on the road and only have 2 home games during that stretch. IF everyone remains healthy; if players play up to the hype; if they get a little luck yada, yada, yada.........6 wins tops.

Have any of you who voted for 5+ looked at the schedule? It's brutal. Not to mention even decent lions teams couldn't manage to win road games. Four wins MAX.

Lions fans are the most gullible fans in pro sports. We are so desperate for our football franchise to win so every year, we start smoking Hopium every preseason and state predictions like 8 wins...playoffs...super bowl...'Weg rulez!", "Mooch is God!", In Millen We Trust!", "Marinelli pound the rock!". The Lions will be lucky to win 3-4 games, folks. Take it to the bank!
