War of the Worlds! I never thought much about the movie when it was in theatres, but I was given the DVD as a gift, and was really impressed. I never think Tom Cruise is that amazing an actcor, but I respect him after watching the bonus features and seeing how much he cares about the role and how he was involved.

common friggin top gun his best role? yes top gun was a great movie but it was great because of the righting not the actors since the dramatic roles in that movie werent that hard i would say the best performance in the movie was by anthony edwards. As for cruises best role i would have to say it would have to be either Interview with a Vampire, eyes wide shut or magnolia. I'm for magnolia because i enjoyed the compelling performances of all the actors in the film
