I believe that Dan Fortier has done an outstanding job of educating all cottage owners and affected land owners within the cottage colony area, as well as the townspeople who will hopefully support the new zoning to preserve the Old Wharf Road area as we have known it for decades.
If anyone affected by the proposed zoning is still not informed, I believe it is because just were not interested in reading about the well publicized proposed zoning. Planner Fortier has shared every step of this process via the newspapers, e-mails, and the Dennis website. I believe that at this point there are very few who are uninformed where we have been given ample opportunity to read, endorse, object, or change even the wording in the proposal.
I wish it were possible for the town's voting process to be sped up so that the ultimate vote by the townspeople could happen before Labor Day....while cottage owners are actively spending their income during these summer months, supporting the many commercial businesses within the town.
