In my opinion, I think Ms. Shelby Lynne should play Dusty Springfield. She's got the acting chops and can CERTAINLY handle the vocal chores (see "Just a Little Lovin").

Never, never Nocole Kidman she is too gentle. You need someone who can play a more tougher character and who can sing! I would say DUFFY or Joss Stone. Please don't ruin Dusty by giving it to someone who does not fit the part, make it believable please.

Er... The whole point about Dusty Springfield is that no one, no one ever could ever did sound like her. To consider anything other than lip-synching is just not being serious. Whoever it might be would have a hard enough time just getting the gestures...

Should be Julianne Moore lip synching to Dusty

Actually, I would like to see Joss Stone. She has the vocal chops, stage presence, and she has acting experience. She has the high cheekbones and big eyes which can easily be made to look like Dusty's 60's style with Hollywood makeup artists ability. I voted for Nicole Kidman - four poor choices you have there. Chenoweth, no way. She sounds like Minnie Mouse stuck upside down on a roller coaster.

WAIT!! Get Duffy or Celine Dion! (And I still want to do a cameo of Can I get a witness!)

Well, Kidman is not a singer. What a waste of a story. I'd say get DUFFY to do DUSTY!! She's got the same timbre..and can do all the early songs..I'd like to do Dusty when she older, provided I get to do her version of "Can I get a Witness", one of her best pieces of soul singing!

This is a no-brainer! Chenowith is the obvious choice. She is the only one with both the looks and the vocal range to pull it off.

Kidman, never. Chenoweth is great but never Dusty. Dusty was throaty and had a husky voice and exuded so much sex appeal. I think someone like Joss Stone would be so perfect in that part.

No One but Debby Campbell-Cloyd should play Dusty Springfield. Debby tours with her dad , Glen Campbell and sings a lot of Dusty Springfield. Debby is teriffic.

Nicole Kidman is the only choice for this role. Can't stand Kristen Chenoweth's voice. She would murder the entire character of Dusty Springfield.

Kristin Chenoweth is by far more qualified than anyone else listed! since her appearances on GLEE, I am unable to get enough of her! I record all of her TV appearances on my DVD recorder, and edit out everything except her performances and then put those on the DVD that i download to, reapeatedly!Kristin Chenoweth is under appreciated for all the TALENT that she provides to any audience!
Kristin Chenoweth must make more appearances on TV, the movies, and live stage shows, the whole world must see the GIANT TALENT IN THAT PETITE BODY! DO NOT DIS HER!

Gimme a break! Anybody but Kristen Chenoweth. Can't take that voice. I won't be going to see it if she plays the part.

If I had a choice between Nicole and Kristin I would say Kristen has superior vocal talent. Kristen's acting roles have had her typecast on the "lite" side but that is not to say she couldn't go deeper. Look at Sandra Bullock. Amy Adams on the other hand has a very similar "look" as well as the acting ability. Could Amy's voice be transformed?

Kristin Chenoweth is a great trained singer! Terrific on Broadway, whom I have seen several times. But,her pint-sized quality cannot compete with the powerful, lusty Dusty Springfield! Also, since she was British, Nicole, older and wiser, and with her Anglo-Austrialian accent could do a great job in the role....Dusty struggled with her sexuality,I believe and a more mature actress can portray her angst. Thanks for giving fans a forum.

The engaging qualities of Kristin Chenoweth, which are many, are lacking the darker edges that gave Dusty Springfield her special intensity. Just as Julie Andrews had to show her "roseebuds" and Barbra Streisand was so proud to be the first female star to say the "f" word on screen, these young divas go a little nuts trying to be what they are not. Can you imagine Dusty Springfield playing Kristin Chenoweth? I don't think so!
