What's the appropriate response from Lions coach Jim Schwartz about the no-catch ruling?

The one thing that is evident is that Jim Swartz is resigned that he is not going anywhere this year with this team. If he thought he had any chance at the playoffs he would of been livid because a loss can mean the difference of winning the division, first round byes, home field advantage, etc. The fact that he hasn't shown any emotion shows that he knows it will not make a difference to how this season plays out.

It's a (PROCESS) This P.C. country we live in is being ruined by way to many fingers in the pie. Its almost like the Buffalo Wild Wings control board. Play the damn game, make the call, reward the team that wins. Quit with this, interpretation of the processes, penalty flags on every play, rule after rule. How many sacks are being flagged? Every one. I won't watch, or support this type of crookedness.

In no way shape or form is losing acceptable the way the Lions continue to lose. The lions have been pathetic and their response or lack of response to an obvious interpretation of the rule by governing officials is exactly why so many people get sick rooting for the Lions year in and year out. The leadership in the organization from the owners to the coaching staff is sickening, reminds me of the late 70's early 80's with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not only can the Lions find ways to lose.....they find ways to win and lose in the same game. Calvin Johnson can't simply tuck the ball away and collect a paycheck.....he's got to show the world how hard you have to work at blowing a game......then add insult to their fans by accepting the ruling. After Philly, after Minnesota, after Green Bay and 3 more losses.......everyone can finally forget about the catch that really didn't matter.

I think if he (as a strong leader, to change the culture) should say exactly what he did. If he allows any excuse then he allows his team too as well. That is the culture we had... A culture of excuses. He was right, the team had a lot of opportunities to win. That play shouldn't have even happened because they should have put the game away before that. YES, calvin was robbed, And we all know what they think about it, BUT both Calvin and the Schwartz said exactly what they should have.

this is a leading question because the third option shows favortism by drawing the conclusion that a strong leader is based on that action. of course most are going to pick this option.

The Lions know they won the game, and the Bears know they lost. It's the NFL that decided the winner. So we move on with a winning mentality, and they cannot take that away from us.

I am a fan. I can be livid (I guess i am!) HOWEVER every second that Coach Schwartz spends on this item (the catch) that will NEVER change the standings is one less second that he is preparing for the Eagles.

The coach needs to stick up for and take one for the team. ONly then, can they move on from such a letdown !!!

I think the Lions should sue the NFL. Calvin caught the ball and is second act was pushing the a ball when he tried to stand up. Player do not have the ball when they stand up!!!! They can should millions of other players catching the ball and hold on the ball less time that Calvin had it and being call a TD. The NFL should be force to reward the Lions another first round draft choice for this blowed call and cover up.
