a film maker? why don't they send a garbage collector? this whole thing is a ploy by the us government to get cheaper oil from alberta. doesn't the free trade agreement say we have to supply them with a certain amount of oil even if we have a shortage? i hope they stop buying oil from alberta, the demand should go down as well the price.
as far as ft. mcmurray rivers go, i was there in the early 1960's and when we swam in the river 30 miles upstream we came out covered with tar and had to use butter to get it off our skin.
if you see the river banks on a hot day, the tar is draining from the river banks into the river consantly.
stelmack should have ingnogerd this bs

I work in the oil sands and really in all honesty what does his opinion matter?? David Suzuki was up there and I bet no one even knew!! and he's an enviromentalist! Pretty sad to see that HOLLYWOOD has more impact than someone who actually cares about the environment.

P.S. I smell a new James Cameron movie coming soon that has something to do with, things blowing up and the oil sands having something to do with it!

Why give this Hollywood guy so much credibility ? In hollywood they live in an unrealistic world.

this is really ridiculous, the man made a fantasy movie and we as Albertans are worried? The movie is so similar to the the children's movie"Fern Gully" and no one worried about any impact on the world. That our Premier is so concerned with this man is unreal. We will clean up the production of the oilsands and the world will go on!!!

Who really cares what he thinks. Instead of maknig his grand arrival via helicopter, perhaps he should of rode a horse. A much smaller carbon footprint.
