Can the person who came up with this poll please provide some evidence, studies, data, etc., that killing this bear will teach other bears a lesson they won't soon forget.

I can hardly type from laughing so hard!

Even worse than the option to pick that as an answer is the fact that 3% of the responders actually chose it!!

    God help us all....

This young hunter needs to educate himself before he goes out into the woods to hunt.Especially in bear territory. You are in their territory and chances are she's been there all year, "YOU" haven't, you are a trespasser in her home and she has young to protect, you did injure them and provoked her then to injure you. Even though you changed clothes, chances are you still carried the smell of food with you right down to your breath. Bears are beginning to den, another mistake could of been the lack of scouting the area before you hunted, she could have a nearby den. Education is a powerful tool, use it. On another note, glad to see you survived, hope you heel quickly.

See if the bear refuge in Newberry, MI can take her.... she can wander in protected freedom!! Why kill the poor thing for going after a threat to her surroundings.

Lets see....Man goes into wild life area to kill a animal, animal goes after man to protect her family, doesn't continue to hurt man...leaves after she made her point...and we need to kill her? right!
