  • DezTOOreal - 14 years ago

hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll to the mother fukin no he cant score 100 points ...wake up you ass wholes ok yea he's one of the greatest players to play the game but thats back when basketball was mostly a white mans sport now yo got black guys all over the court.. this era is wayyyyyy more athletic then the 80's and ealry 90's and for him to say he'll score a 100 on any night ..shitt he's just saying that cuz he's michal jordan and dick riders like you guys will believe it ..im not even in the nba and i feel insulted by that comment imagine how great defenders lik kobe ,ron artest and lebron would feel, i had so much love for michael but for him to say that man thats bull shit,,ive watchd almost every michael jordan game and i see how basketball pace is getting way faster, and even if he was in his prime he wouldnt have the energy werr talking about he would have to average over 20 pts a quarter he couldnt do it back then so what the hell makes him able to do it now ..i was happy to listen to his interview until i heard that dumb as comment but i swear im no michael fan any more for that

  • 000000MJ2345000000 - 14 years ago

@ John L. Yeahh! I totaly agree with you men MJ was is GOAT!!! forever!

  • 000000MJ2345000000 - 14 years ago

I believe MJ what he said. And I am preety sure he can scored 100 points,I really know it is nothing impossible with him, remember THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER he can controlled the points whatever he wants.Don't you know 30 ppg or more than that?. Ofcourse he can that's all...

  • John L. - 14 years ago

YES, I agree -- MJ could easily scores 100...if only he had a chance back then to play like having these new rules e.g. no hand-check at all, no brawl-or dirty-type of defense as he used to have had experienced in his prime. Remember the JORDAN RULES?, try to remember how the bad boys "detroit pistons" (with dumars, easpecially isaiah tomas, laimbeer & rodman as the REAL BAD BOYS all of them defending MJ?). Oh my, that's awesome -- too bad for MJ's challenge then -- but it's good, he beat them up.

Take a look at this: Kobe/LBJ/WADE/Durant and other new era's superstars doesn't have a feel of this reality, and for sure they can't go through with it (you can't imagine these top 4 superstars, doing this -- the fact that, say for example, just with BOSTON CELTICS big-3 recently, playing with them -- see, they often almost quits when somebody try a lock-down-type of defense on them, sometimes got choked, besides having the new rules). As I'd said, Jordan in his times -- takes every real-hard-defense employ to him (with 2 hands or more on his waist, some even holding his jessey, tripping his foot, banging him in the air while he's making a hard dunks, no easy fade aways -- but still he scores on those moments, scores 50's, 60's back then -- and wins championship. How much more if he plays with the easy rules -- no touch or no hand check at all. Wow, that could have been easy for him -- to scores more or even 100's.

Jordan often being brawled by his opponents' defense back then -- but oftentimes, still leading everyone in scoring during his prime (a consistent scoring champs/mvp's back then, for the record the stas don't lie, besides of the hard defense). And maybe for you guys who have not watched MJ real games then (as maybe you're infants during his time?) -- I suggest: you can have a copy of "his airness" games and others, there's a lot dvd's copies of MJ's games around, etc -- where you could at least be able to watch all the things he had done, he's indeed a GOAT, see then how he's actually played just to win those 6-champs he had in bulls then (he beat all the superstars then like Majic, Bird, Ewing, Barkley, Robinson, Drexler, Kemp, Malone and a lot more actually (to include earlier times of KOBE, SHAQ, T-MAC, Duncan, Garnet, Iverson, etc). Then once you have done watching some of his games -- try think of it with all honsety, no bias -- anayze it with carefully. Then compares it to all of the current supertars nowadays. For sure, man, you may say HE's no human -- he's the real real real GOAT!!! And it's no imposible he could score's 100's. And one last thing: most of the superstars nowadays, have copied some of his moves...try to think of it (kobe's fade away -- that's Jordan's original, etc., no bias).

Jordan was the best player ever to play the game but in his prime he never get to 70 and with the players that surround him believe me he could easy get to that at the other hand Kobe get to 80 against a terrible team like the Toronto Raptors but still is a NBA team in another game against the Dallas Maverick in 3qts he get 66 points how much points could he get in 1 qts and believe me Im not comparing them, Jordan was the best ever to play the game or that was what the NBA want you to believe what is really the NBA a big company that sell there best product to the fans no matter how does any one remember the ref that was betting on games all he was saying about fixing games or calling games to benefits players or games that some product could benefit from this and a lot more from the highest offices don't you forget that they do whatever it takes to sell there product when I said product I mean players like Bird,Magic,Jordan,Shaq.Kobe,Lebron and now Durant just think about this and to finish this comment Jordan at his prime never get to 75 how his going to score 100 points.

  • philip pines - 14 years ago

mj could score that if the rules haven't changed lately.. b4 refs give him more reasons to do so..

  • MARCO - 14 years ago

WELL, LET'S MAKE IT EASY TO SOLVE: MJ HAS THE HIGHEST SCORING AVERAGE OF ALL TIME, SO IF MJ COULD NOT SCORE 100 POINTS IN TODAY'S NBA, WHO ELSE CAN? (BESIDES THOSE 100 POINTS FROM WILT). I SAW HIM SCORE SEVERAL TIMES OVER 50 POINT AGAINST PLAYOFF TEAMS, IN FACT HE SCORED 51 POINTS NOT A LONG TIME AGO (2002) WHEN HE HAD 38, IT'S FOR SURE HE COULD SCORE MORE THAN THAT IF HE HAD 29. SCORING 100 POINTS WOULD NOT BE A PANCAKE, BUT WOULD NOT BE IMPPOSSIBLE FOR MJ.

  • Mac - 14 years ago

It seems to me that most of the doubters, haven't seen him play much or at all. Maybe they saw him after 37+ years old. Even then that should tell all of you what he'd be capable of, were he in his prime these days.
Check out his stats at age 39 and 40. How couldn't he compete nowadays? Have we evolutioned so much in 7 years? Has the human DNA changed in 7yrs? He wasn't fast or quick enough? I give you 1 play. One of my favorites ever. The baseline turn around dribble against Oakley (I guess), finishing with a dunk on Ewing. Just Watch how quick and fast he changed direction and finished dunking on 1 of the top 50 players (Ewing) ever in the NBA. I don't know about getting to 100, but too slow, weak or not quick enough? Please baby please. Year 2002 at age 39. Games of 31, 32, 32, 31, 44, 30, 30, 51, 45, 35, 30, 40, 41, 32, 37 and 34. Plus 5.7 Rpg and 5.2 Apg. http://www.michaeljordansworld.com/gamebygame/gamelog20012002.htm
    Year 2003 at age of 40. Games of 30, 33, 41, 32, 45, 43, 30, 35 and 39. Oh and he had 6.2 Rpg and 3.8 Apg. Check out http://www.michaeljordansworld.com/gamebygame/gamelog20022003.htm
At 39 and 40 he lit up teams for 40+ and even 50 pts. Rewind back to age 24, put him in selfish mode and tell him to go get 80 or 100. Not impossible!

  • Drew - 14 years ago

JORDAN IS NO DOUBT THE BEST 2 EVER PLAY THE GAME HOWEVER,....THE GAME HAS SEVERILY CHANGED SINCE HE LEFT...HE WOULD HAVE TO ADAPT A WHOLE NEW PLAYING STYLE AND IN ADDITION THERE IS TOO MUCH DEFENSIVE PRESSURE

  • AIR4EVER - 14 years ago

if the G.O.A.T. says he can, i'll bet my soul he can. AIR FOREVER!

  • basketball guro - 14 years ago

hey morons he said he could score 100 in his prime not right now and yes he could score 100 hes the G.O.A.T.

  • glensky - 14 years ago

yes, he can do it... why? because he is the best basketball player ever. wilt scored 100, kobe can scored 81, so why mj can't score 100? common sense people.

  • flicker - 14 years ago

for my opinion... its a YES... Why?.. uhm.. first, jordan in his prime... is far better than, KOBE, LBJ, DURANT, WADE... so if kobe done it now a days.. sure Jordan "his airness" can do it.. 2nd the rules now is far from the past.. its less physical now a day..and look.. remember MJ sed " its not me, its the moment" .. if MJ look at the moment.. this is it.. he cn do it.. and if MJ looks only to score.. No assist no defense.. He can do it... MJ in his prime not only thinking about scoring.. he majorly think to be a leader.. for the bulls.. to be a mentor of the team.. he defend, he lead.. he does it all. but even though he do all of that... he can score.. watever and whoever defend him... rember the JORDAN RULES?... if he is not a excellent offense player... coaches dont do that special defense to him... to the Michael Jordan in his prime.. i believe to you.. the Greatest Player Of All Time ... Michael "his Airness" "The Air" Jordan... #23#

  • siv024 - 14 years ago

You guys sound so stupid it don’t matter if Jordan play in his prime in today rules. He CAN’T do it because he have to have the hot hands and shoot the 3 pointer well and Jordan sure don’t shoot 3 much you guys need to stop im not taking his word for it, So I guess you guys taking his word for saying Kobe Bryant is top 10 guard… LOL don’t make me laugh pls.

  • rj - 14 years ago

Mj is the best there ever was and there ever will be. if he said it. he can do it. hands down. respect the greatness of mj. if he really focus on scoring 100 points. he can do it 2day in his prime. thats it. believe as we all believe in him b4. the greatest of all time. amen

  • T-Wah - 14 years ago

Jordan is a moron. Time for him to shut up. His days are over.

  • HMac - 14 years ago

Michael Jordan is the best player ever played the sport of basketball. That's it. Kobe and Lebron are playing the game right now same when jordan played at the age of 40.

  • Chris - 14 years ago

I think its ridicolus that so many people answered with yes. I'm sure every decent expert could tell you, that there's no way he could do that. I personaly question if he could even make 80 nowadays.

  • ronnie singson - 14 years ago

mj is the greatest player ever played in nba hehehehe

  • Jam - 14 years ago

LMAO at the people who doubts MJ's ability to put his words into action. Many people who doubted him ended up eating their own words in the end... Anyway, we are talking about MJ in his prime playing in todays rules. I don't care how good of defender players are today there is no way are they better than the top defenders of the past. MJ will have no trouble getting through the defense in these days NBA rules.

  • Ash - 14 years ago

No way would he score 100. He is great, the greatest. We all know that but 100 points is ridiculous in 2010. Even if he got past 50 in the first half teams would just double and triple team him. I dont care who you are, you will not consistently score past 2 NBA defenders.

  • David - 14 years ago

lmao @ kids that doubt MJ. He's talking about in his prime. Like the other guy said Kobe scored 81 points on a horrible team. If you think about it, MJ could of easily had scored 100 points on a below average team like Kobe scored 81 against the Raptors.

  • WILL - 14 years ago

I KNOW THAT MJ COULD EASILY SCORE NOT ONLY 100 POINTS BIT EVEN MORE IN HIS PRIME IN DA NBA NOW BCUZ WHEN HE PLAYED DARE WERE BIGGER N BETTER BIG MEN COMPARE TO DA SMALLER ATHLETIC BIG MEN NOW. PLUS IF U LOOK AT LEBRON NOW IF HE WAS TO JUS GET SELFISH HE CUD DO IT NOW AND EVEN DA SCORING CHAMP HIMSELF KEVIN DURANT CUD IF HE HAD GOT SELFISH IN A REGULAR SEASON GAME.

  • dumbdumb - 14 years ago

you guys are all dumb mj played against the top competition when he was in his primed he even played against some of the current best players today.. and MJ was the MAN the icon and now yall thinkin he's nothing

you guys really think lebron james can stop MJ??? man you gotta be kidding me he is no slow for MJ and remember MJ is clever maybe LBJ is stronger but quicks, killer instincts??? LBJ is nothing compare to the GOAT!

  • Emile Romain - 14 years ago

What's this obsession with MJ? Shaq, The Admiral & Koby have toped 70.
MJ never got pass the sixties.. So please!

  • tj doo - 14 years ago

It is obvious that he was joking.. I don't believe in him although I am a fan of him..
That is too way illogical and narcistic..
If he said nowadays the NBA are less physical, from his point of view he may be correct.. But from my point of view, although they easily call fouls, the players are all bulking up, like Dwight Howard, Jason Maxiell, Lebron James, etc. Even Nate Robinson does bulk up too!?! and these players are making the space less on the court.. I think that make sense why he won't score 100 in a single game in today's NBA game

  • Varo - 14 years ago

we are talking about "HIS PRIME" here. michael only scored 60+ career high long time ago where rules are much different and harder than today. so with today's rules, it will be much easier for him to get =>100pts. great players like kobe can score 81 but this Michael Jordan is THE BEST OF ALL TIME THEN THATS IT!

  • Reg - 14 years ago

if kobe could score 81 michael in his prime could top 100 bernard king could score over 100 in his prime playing today

  • MacFreshCALi - 14 years ago

Lmao @ 10 overtime comment by gwet08. Jordan was a beast an will always be remembered as such, but to say he'd score 100 in a game in 2010 is nonsense.

  • Raiko Olivera - 14 years ago

Funny how people think he could put up 100. The game just gets better and better and no one can put up those kinds of numbers anymore. He was the best at his time, but he was never able to get 100 and he's way out of his league to say he can with great defenders now a days. We got old enough to see jordan be a GRUMPY old man.

  • Gwet08 - 14 years ago

Jordan is a bum if he thinks he can compete at a higher level than todays guys. Sure MJ was the best of the best at his prime, however, with a LBJ or Wade guarding him, i think he would struggle to tear it up like he used to. The athletes are faster these days, more defensively focused and ijn some cases stronger. The toughest match MJ had would have been a Dumars, or Starks in his prime, you can not compare those defensive lock down guys of the 90's to the LBJ's and Wades of todays game. He would have to play at both ends and those guys are quicker than Mike ever was. It's ridiculous that he even gestured the 100 points he thinks he could achieve in a game. Maybe in 10 overtimes. or then again never. He just misses the limelight again.

  • rogell singson - 14 years ago

jordan is the greatest player of all time period........and i think he played with the great players on his prime so the type of game right now is so weak defensively just they know how to run and fly.....and the teams are not balance like b4...so 100points is posible for the who came from mars.......

  • allblind - 14 years ago

man are u all blind look at the defense today.. no hand check...
and people keep saying players on jordan era are weak.. are u all kidding me most of the top 50 greatest players played in jordan era and they can actually play zone more than now... and you guys saying soo much young talents right now?? they cant even do shit... remember when jordan came back and played for wizards he still kills young nba players and even the best of them.. jordan average 20 ppg when he was like what? 39-40 yrs old and now what? whos 39 year old who average like that and dominates the game like MJ did when he was at wizards.....

all i can say is jordan can easily put up 100 points in the board today! HOW?
do u know how quick jordan was?? he was like bigger version of A.I. jump like lebron, HANG's like nobody else and switch hands in the air like no one can copy.. and has a killer instincts and the best of all the HEART OF A CHAMPION...

  • rogell singson - 14 years ago

mj can score 100? yes ofcoure but not evry single day...b4 the game off basketball is in a high level and more physical and a lot off diffence thats y basketball become 1 of the most popular sports but now a days we must admit that basketball is no longer interesting since jordan left the game...

  • Josh - 14 years ago

If thats the case then Magic could score 100 too. And Jordan didnt make his own moves. There will be no one like Magic, there will be no one like MJ, and there will be no one like kobe period. Quit the comparisons.

  • big bert - 14 years ago

c'mon son!....mj would of did it easy againt a bum guard......kobe was 19 shy...if you look at the number of shots that kobe missed that game, if he made half of them.....he would went over the 100 mark...yung mike had fire in his eyes...it wud of been 2 easy for him...i mean if andre miller can score 52....anything is possible

  • MacFreshCALi - 14 years ago

Jordan, was and is one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball. I am a true supporter of the Jordan era. Jordans game was recognizably superior. however, to keep it real, there is no way jordan will score 100 points in a game, not even in his prime. The NBA is wayyyy too competive right now, so many young legs and incredible all around athletes. I respect Jordans game, an agree that he is the best to play the game in his prime. Its rediculous to ask a question like this. Kobe scored 81, and is not likely that he'll so that again.

  • Gambler - 14 years ago

u cant compare the way defense that kobe face now vs the defense that the God of Basketball (MJ) did its not the same just try two compare those dobleteam that michael go trough and your goin to see that kobe has nothing on jordan today defense is to ugly period.

  • MaMbA24 - 14 years ago

no way! kobe has a better 3 than jordan, period. jordan never even scored 81. i'm surprised jordan even said that! lol 24>23 (thought u guys knew that)

  • jordan 4 life - 14 years ago

    jordan can do it.
best player in the nba and always will be. kobe is nothing compared to him.

  • siv024 - 14 years ago

No way not gonna happen because throughout his whole career he had the chance to put up 100 point on a weak defensive team but he never did.

  • Dalas - 14 years ago

Ofcource he could score 100.The new rules makes the game a disgrace.Todays NBA forces players to have no imotions a stare at the official for not giving a foul is a tech.Apart from that the new rules make nba stars untouchable way to many fouls are given for free to superstars.90's playoffs was a warzone the best nba era ever!I sometimes prefer to watch 90's basketball in youtube over and over again than recent basketball games in tv.You think that it's so hard for MJ to score 100 today with no rules in his prime??It's just like he said he would go to the free throw line so often that he wouldn't score 1 freethrow with his eyes open like with Mutombo but all of them!!!All in all i would like to kill the guy that made those rules for he has destroyed the game i love.

  • Johny - 14 years ago

Amin to what havaiiboy had to say about MJ. Greatest ever who played the game of basketball! Still watch his games now days and enjoy it!

  • havaiiboy - 14 years ago

MJ is my #1in the history of NBA. Nobody, I mean nobody can ever compare himself to MJ. He created his own style and his own moves, when he gets on court he shows then and that makes him the best NBA player ever played the game.
Most of the star players these days followed his style, but no one can ever be the next MICHAEL JORDAN. (#23).

  • VYCanisMajoris - 14 years ago

It would be fun to see him try it . but i think he will not.
