When traveling on an airplane, is it OK to tip the seat back?

I am 6 foot 4, 260 pounds... I have to recline just to fit. Thank the airlines for your lack of space as you have no idea what it's like for us big folks.

In my continued efforts to rebel against dichotomous outcomes (e.g., pregnant, not pregnant), it seems worth noting that this isn't really dichotomous - chair fully up, chair tipped/fully reclined. It's a continuum. And I think in there is a happy medium in there. Chair can be tipped slightly to yield more comfort for you the sitter - but not fully so as not to infringe on the sitter behind you. But agreed: A little self-awareness goes a long way - and our culture generally suffers from a deplorable lack of it. These are my nerdy thoughts for the day... There are likely others; but I will keep those to myself. :)

There are way tooo many people out there who have no courtesy for others. Try to be aware of your surroundings and be courteous to others.
