Do you think law enforcement should be enforcing immigration laws?

When the Obama Administration refuses to enforce the Federal Laws the the States need to do it for them, I suggest that a Bill be sent to Obama and Holder for the cost of this enforcement... I do not understand why this is a political issue on the part of this administration rather than upholding federal law....

When a nation cannot or will not defend its borders -- it soon ceases to have any.

I never realized, when I was in college, how important it was to control the free flow of immigrants into Texas or the United States. However, once I got into "the real world" I realized how important it is to control "illegal" immigration. After college, I was not working yet and had to make an unexpected trip to the emergency room. I received a bill for thousands of dollars. I tried to apply for assistance...I met all requirements except I wasn't hispanic so I was rejected. I was unemployed at the time and had no assistance what other qualification did I need. I wondered why I am not getting assistance from my own government yet foreigners seem to be getting plenty of free service...that tax payers like me and all of us our paying the bill. Are legal Americans now second class citizens? Since when does breaking the law pay.....it shouldn't pay...and our government needs to stand strong against sending a message that it is ok. This is just one issue. A thousand others are why we have to take our state back....support legal Americans, rally the government, and "buckle down on illegals" Sometimes, I feel like I'm in Mexico instead of Texas. Moreover, I also worked for the police department, in which, a large percentage of the public breaking the law were hispanic ...illegals breaking laws, involved in gangs, drug users, drunk drivers, etc. I am not saying that the hispanic population as whole are bad, they are not, I am just saying that a lot of the ones who cross into this country illegally are probably willing to continue breaking the law and have less to lose. Furthermore, it was very difficult to handle and identify hispanic subject's true personal information , they would have no identification...most of them with about 20 different aliases/names. It makes finding them after breaking the law and holding them accountable challenging. A lot of immigrants from Mexico bring drugs and drug lifestyles to the US demoralizing our kids making it seem more acceptable to waste away one's life using drugs and being promiscuous. A lot of the culture have baby's mamas and baby's daddy's instead of husbands and fathers and wives. Yet again demoralizing our family values and our respectablility as a nation and as responsible citizens and people of the United States. If we weren't spending so much money on illegal alien's for health care, crime, education we would have a lot more money and better economy. Not allowing the influx of illegals would encourage more jobs for our own American citizens...more tax revenue would be received from us by the state since a lot of illegals do not contribute significantly to our tax revenue that builds our roads, pays our public officials, our police officers, improves education for our own children, and pays our teachers!!!! Why is it even questioned whether police officers enforce immigration laws? If you are breaking the law, it should be enforced. There is a lawful way to become a US citizen....if they are not following this path then shame on them. "Not" shame on our officers. Officers should "not" be villafied when it is illegals who are breaking the law.

According to the latest census, there were almost as many Hispanics counted in Texas as Caucasions. By now, there are probably 1:1. How many are illegal? Police can now check on insurance by typing in auto license. Illegals have not read the laws, taken the test, nor have a driver's license or INSURANCE. They drive accordingly. They take our jobs, buy our homes, send their kids to our schools, children and parents cannot speak English, break our laws, end up in jail and prison, keep our police, Texas Rangers, sheriff deputies, constables, courts, INS, busy. Go down to Parkland and outlying clinics. There are no whites. How can they get a job? Buy a home? Over the last 20 years, the floodgates are open; and they are everywhere invading Texas. We are billions in debt; how much is it due to the expense of illegals in our ystems. They take our jobs and send their money back home. When is enough enough?

Fred, how do illegals avoid taxes; it's really very simple. A housing contractor friend of mine explained that the amount of taxes witheld is determined by number a dependents listed on an employee's HR profile. The employee would increase the number of dependents until zero dollars are deducted. He then would not file a return in April. He would have to pay social security and medicare tax, but that is a small percentage.

Why do people think illegals do not pay taxes if they have a job taxes have to be taken off even with false papers?

If our governments, including federal, state and local including police, do not start enforcing immigration laws, when will the flood stop. I recently stood behind two young healthy hispanic couples at a Mexican grocery as they bought over $400 worth of groceries on a Lone Star Card. Our schools and hospitals provide free services to people who pay minimum taxes. Our teenagers cannot get work experience because fast food restuarants are staffed with illegals using stolen identities and false documents. I could go on, but I think you get my drift. Since when do people get to choose which laws they obey. I'm tired of it.

Americans need jobs and it is becoming too overcrowded here in Texas. Stronger enforcement of the immigration laws is needed. Let's do in NOW!
