Is the Portuguese entry too political and should thus be disqualified?

I hope very much that this song never comes to the final. It´s a communist song and it doesn´t have any place in this competition. I am portuguese and I feel ashame of this crap!

I'm Portuguese and I've never been so proud of our presence in Eurovision. Not because their voice or their music (there have been better performances in those aspects), but because they prove, like many other did, that A SONG CAN BE MUCH MORE THAN THAT!! It's a MESSAGE. And the message doesn't have to be always about love, war, peace or something alike. This song is about joy. And it's about having joy while we're fighting for a better world, and not keep just waiting for it for the rest of the life. Would it be better to have some violent riots in Portugal, so someone could then sing about peace??? Well, I believe there could be, if someone dare to desqualify Homens da Luta. I'm ashamed of the portuguese that feel shame for their democratic victory. Shame on them.

I'm glad they've won... I don't care much about the festival but this time around I'll be looking forward to watching it! Hope A. Merkel watches it too, since our PM can't seem to be able to deliver the message of the Portuguese people which is: We've been living the crisis for so long but still we manage to fight with a smile! Please don't ask us for more economical sacrifices we have none left to spare!

I don't really understand why all this fuss about a song being political or not, when the Eurovision Song Contest is crawling with much more polemic thematics, like sex and religion. Why should jewish people care about serbian's prayers or catholic spaniards should have to deal with israeli Hallelujahs or why should I have to watch semi-naked women dancing on the screen, while I'm watching the show with my children? Stop the hipocrisy, once and for all! LONG LIVE THE STRUGGLE!

As you see I am Portuguese , and im proud of this song because it's revolucionary , Pioneer i think, this band is the most famous ,because they interact with our people participating in all manifestations , they support us to win the crisis, I listened to this music in Portuguese and I know this song doesn't have political content.

This song does not have any political content, no mentions to political parties, left or right idealism, the working class , etc... This song is a message to people inviting everyone to figth for what one feels is fair and right, because when one fights for what it believes than the fight is joy ! This song is about being active and participative in the society one lives in and at this point Europe needs this as much as Portugal !! I feel very proud of my country to see that a new generation is rising, eger to participate, to discuss, to take the problems heads on and to fight for what it believes.

Homens da luta just fight against political correctness, that is the biggest danger of european democracies. They are explicit, almost raw, and are simply trying to make the citizen not being afraid to say exactly what he or she thinks. Is it a political struggle? Of course. But it is a struggle against demagogy. And their struggle is joyful! They're just trying to say - "Wake up. Participate. Worry!" They don't support specific political parties our groups, they just want everyone to care about politics and policies. Nothing's wrong with this struggle.
If Eurovision disqualifies Homens da Luta, it just means that Europe is ruined by political correctness, that some actual hidden powers (with no face, no ideas, no political beliefs) are corrupting something that was really hard to conquer - liberty and freedom of speech.

I think this song represents other europeans and their dificulties through this crisis!! I dont understand why a love song should be any different from the song presented by Homens da Luta. I also dont understand where is the fuss over a political statement when all Europe is based on the values of a democracy!
It is preposterous that this subject is even a case for a discussion.

I just hope Portugal wins this time. People should be ashamed of saying this is a political song. It´s ironical, when everyone knows that the Eurovision is a "political" competition. where the same countries always win. I wonder why Portugal never brought home a victory, even when we had great songs...
