My 1st thought was robert Downey Jr., then heard John Stamos name. OMG He's perfect. He's cute, clever, and can be the type of "playboy we want to watch. Charlies just sad, old looking, nasty, and Pathetic. He's a loser not "winning". I feel so bad for his father and family.

I would love to see James Spader in the show. He and Cryer were both in Pretty in Pink and they were the best parts of the movie. Plus I don't think anyone can out do Spader at charismatic smarm. In the 80's he wrote the book for playing smarmy yuppies and I think that character would work good for the show.

I don't think they should replace him with a sheen-like person. i think ey shoukd change it up. i've been thinking Kirstie Alley or Marc Consuelos.
John Stamos is a major win. I like that idea immensely. However, if pricks play hardball and try to weasel in Rob Lowe, I think John Cusack should be there to take the role and stare down Cryer. Both them and Sheen did John Hughes movies. Its a teen movie thing. The key difference is that Cusack was still there with SAY ANYTHING after LOWE was popped for whoring around during Sex, Lies and Videotape. John didn't have anything to do with it, this is me saying it. The Home Alone generation knocking on your guys' door. The older kid to Angus's age. Cryer's best hope would be to reunite with Molly Ringwald and have her mediate.
