I am dealing wih Hep C and severe fegenerative disc disease, I've been a pain clinic patient for over 10 yrs. I know pot helps but won't use it because it illegal, instead I'm forced to use addicting opiates which I know are killing me...when I stop I suffer withdrawels and severe pain. It does help but I am so restricted, I have to submit to urine tests every month, it kills my pride...I need this to pass soon....I'm 55 and want to live.

IT IS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE THAT HB30, MEDICAL MARIJUANA, BE MADE LAW IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS.

AS A MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SUFFERER, I, AN ILLINOIS VOTER, WILL NOW BE FORCED TO REGISTER AS A CITIZEN AND VOTER IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, WHERE MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS ALREADY LEGAL.

I GUESS MICHIGAN WANTS MY PIDDLY LITTLE DISABILITY CHEQUE PER MONTH, AND ALL THE MEDICAL BILLS AS PAID FOR BY MY MEDICARE, THAT COME WITH THE NON-STOP SUFFERING AND PAIN THAT COMES WITH THIS WRETCHED, DEBILLITATING DISEASE. I HAD PLANNED TO REMAIN IN ILLINOIS AND CONTINUE TO PAY TAXES HERE AND VOTE HERE, VISIT WITH MY AGED PARENTS AND OLD RELIABLE TRIED AND TRUE FRIENDS. I MUST NOW RELINQUISH MY VOTERS CARD AND ILLINOIS RESIDENCY TO PURSUE THIS MATTER LEGALLY...VIA MICHIGAN VOTING POWER AND LEGAL RESIENCY, IN ORDER TO ALLEVIATE MY CONSTANT PAIN, WITHOUT BEING ADDICTED TO THE OPIATE PAIN-KILLERS MY ILLINOIS NUEROLOGIST MUST LEGALLY PRESCRIBE FOR PAIN. BUMMER.

MARIJUANA IS NOT AN ADDICTIVE DRUG, SUCH AS THE RX OPIATES (VALLIUM, OXICONTIN, LORAZEPAM, CLONAZEPAM, CODEINE, ETC, AS LEGALLY PRESCRIBED HERE IN IL.

    I LIKED ILLINOIS.
I LIKED BEING AN ILLINOIS VOTER. I LIKE SEEING MY 70 YEAR OLD MOM AND DAD AND ALL MY OLD FRIENDS. I LIKE NOT BEING IN CONSTANT PAIN, AND STILL BEING ABLE TO FUNCTION, WITHOUT BEING A ZOMBIE. MEDICAL MARIJUANA FULFILLS THIS.

IT IS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE THAT HB30, MEDICAL MARIJUANA, BE MADE LAW IN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, IMMEDIATELY.

    MICHIGAN, HERE I COME.

BETTER HEALTH CARE FOR THE DISABLED. THEY WANT MY MONEY AND MY VOTE. ILLINOIS, OBVIOUSLY, DOES NOT, I PRESUME.

ONCE HB30 Is passed, I will once again be an Illinois Voter, taxpayer, citizen and resident, who gives Illinois all my money, in one form or another...be it at Walmart, Walgreens, the Doctors, the Grocers, the County, the town, etc.
    SINCERELY,

    JULIE ST.JOHN
SOON TO BE A FORMER ILLINOIS CONSTITUANT, VOTER, AND CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST.

Just fully legalize it. The hell with medicinal. It's just like the prohibition days for drinking alcohol but only smoking 'thc'. It is a plant for goodness sake. Another reason for Cannabis/drugs to be fully legal is that there are synthetic (man-made) drugs that are much worse for you and legal right now all over the country and people are selling it and those drugs will never be fully illegal cause they find another chemical to keep selling them with and kids and good buddies of mine have fallin' victim to these synthetics which I refuse to use anymore. Please end the drug war and save our country money during these troubled times.

My god daughter had MS . The pill did nothing to help with the tremors . However, one hit on a joint calmed the tremors and made her speech much calmer and easier to understand. Why should a patient not have this option when needed. She was no pot head and only used this option on occasion. How sad that she had to have her parents find a source to help their child who was in her late 20's and had a child who she never got to see grow up.
    Sad Godmother
