The forest referred to in paragraph 2 is 3 1/2 MILLION acres.
The Commissioners have recently stated that Open Space funds will be spent to IMPROVE THE ECONOMY. If the Scudder/Webster property is purchased on Lake Creek, wouldn't it be naive to believe the property would be non- motorized? Would the Denver public come to Lake Creek just to hike the sage hills when they can instead hike in the beautiful forest by going through the "L" ?
Please don't let Lake Creek Road be turned into Mountain Bike Alley!!!!!!!

EVLT is attempting to get support to buy approximately 600 acres of the Scudder/Webster ranch for approximately $20,000,000. This purchase would create horrendous traffic on Lake Creek Road.(Edward's surrounding population is 10,000)
How can the purchase be considered necessary or reasonable when, just 2 miles away, the PUBLIC has access through the newly purchased "L" to 1352 new acres connected to 3 1/2 acres of forest. Walk, bike, or ride horseback all the way to Aspen!
A ridiculous argument for the purchase is that a golf course might be put on the Scudder/Webster property. No one in their right mind would put golf course in the middle of elk and deer habitat.(There are approximately 600 deer and 600 elk)
