@sunny. regarding Toomey and Johnson endorsing Flake I will say this: There was only ONE perfect person on this planet, and they crucified Him! LOL

Seriously, the only way we can get some of these so-called conservatives to straighten up and PAY ATTENTION and follow the Constitution is to get MORE solid Conservatives in the Senate and House. Remember even Shadegg voted for the TARP bailout, a decision he later greatly regretted. Fortunately Trent did not, and Ron would possibly pull out that Colt Single Action Army Revolver and tell the Majority Whip to 'Get the HELL out of my office! LOLOL

Ron Gould is very busy in his campaign to make the Colt Single Action Army revolver the official state firearm. I don't think he has the time to spare to run for US House. I say no to an official state firearm! One more giveaway to a private business. Privatize the profits and socialize the costs! Is this what We the People is all about?!?

I advise the ASRPA not to count their ducks before they are hatched.

Like Gary, I was disgusted with Republicans who spent the George Bush years being rubber-stamps and water-boys for Bush. If there's no improvement in the current pathetic slate of GOP White House candidates, our only hope is to elect conservatives in BOTH House and Senate.

Jeff Flake is no conservative; instead he's a Libertarian who became a Republican for electability. He was my Congressman during his first term, and I welcomed redistricting as an easy way to get rid of him.

I'll never forget the spring of 2006 when Phoenix-area activist teams were paying visits to each House and Senate member to urge their opposition to the Kennedy-Craig amnesty bill (later became the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty). Not only did Flake's Mesa office refuse to accept our appointment request by phone, but when we went personally to his office, the aide refused to meet with us. They told us we'd have to phone for an appointment, but when a team member pulled out her cell phone and called their office, the receptionist hung up on us, insisted that we leave or they'd have security remove us, and then locked us out!

Even Senator John McJerk's people weren't that rude--the receptionist just rolled her eyes at the 8 of us. After our letter complaining of her attitude, the next visit had a new receptionist.

When we complained to Flake about his rude district staff, he blew us off telling us that we had been rude and combatative to his staff and told us not to return.

    Flake is an arrogant disgrace.

In the 2012 Republican primary, Arizona's voters have the chance to do what the good people of the Sixth District were unable to do--give Flakey Jeff the pink slip he deserves.

No matter what Flake promises during his campaign, he's a John McCain clone. If you want to see how Flake will represent Arizona in the US Senate, take a look at John McCain today (after his flip-flop from campaign mode to "I've been re-elected and doing what I please."

@Steven - "We made tremendous strides last election by adding Mike Lee in Utah, Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania and Rand Paul in Kentucky."

Didn't Mike Lee and Pat Toomey just come out and endorse Flake?

    Gary,

I'm sure we share the same passion for our Country and State. However, the Republicans took over the House EIGHT years before Trent Franks became the Congressman for CD2!!
He is only in his 9th year, fifth term as the Congressman. So he can't be blamed for the miseries of the two elections prior to 2010.

He has one of the most conservative and anti-illegal immigration records in Congress. He is absolutely someone to be running for the US Senate in 2012!!! Furthermore, he will not 'Flake out' on defending our borders or the safety of our citizens as the other 'declared' candidate definitely will do.

I asked him last Independence Day how many solid conservatives were in the House at that time. He pleasantly surprised me with a number of 100-120 out of the 178 at that time. Unfortunately he said there were only there may not be as many as 10, in the US Senate. We made tremendous strides last election by adding Mike Lee in Utah, Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania and Rand Paul in Kentucky. We need many more SOLID conservatives like Trent Franks in the US Senate.

As far as more people running, one fact is we've got to wait for the redistricting to be completed to determine where the boundary lines end up before more will enter the race.

I would like to see Trent Franks return to private life . Nothing personal against him but he is not a mover and shaker just votes well we need fresh people with ideas . I feel Franks has been in Washington long enough . I feel Russel Pearce is the best for senate or congress . If we don,t save this country quick what happens in the state won,t matter . This is our last chance folks . I think more people need to be on the list for CD2 . Anyone who was in Washington when the republicans took back the government after 40 years of democrat dominance is unqualified to remain in Washington . The Republicans had their big chance and they blew it - thats un-satisfactory considering what was at stake . Gary Arbitter LD9 precint committee man
