My past few posts have been about the overwhelming addiction to WordPress that many of us have developed. It is no longer just about posting; it is about posting, reading posts, commenting on posts, replying to comments on posts. While exciting and wonderful, in the sense of building community it can also be draining. So, while I picked "Reviewing and Responding to Comments" that is only part of it. The challenge is finding the balance to do it all.

It is certainly a pleasant experience even if time to time I find it somewhat compulsory. You tend to feel guilty if you do not accomplish your duty .......It also depends on the kind of themes you're dealing with. But it is definetely an intense experience .....Buona vita a tutti.

Starting a new piece gets harder every day we get closer to December 21, next year. A little bit of "what's the point?"

My distraction has been due to avoiding a creepy guy at a cafe where I do my weekly journaling which leads to consistent blogging. Recently I'v confronted that person and scared him away so now I have my time back and as a result consistent post's!!

My blog combines photography and poetry this year (it's gone through a few phases)... While I take hundreds, thousands of photos, processing one in an interesting way every day is becoming more and more of a challenge. Sometimes it feels like my 50,000 photo archive is dull...

But after I get the photo 'right', I have to get the words right... there are days when it feels impossible. Other days it just flows from the picture.

I still approach it with enthsiasm every day, but there are times I just feel 'tired,' like I've used up my creativity and can't do anymore... still I carry on - and sometimes discover something I didn't know was there...

The hardest thing in keeping up with a daily blog is when life throws you a curve ball. My grandfather passed away earlier this month (literally as the tsunami was rolling over Japan) and I needed to travel across the country for a while to help the family sort things out. Because of this I got behind on my blog. But I'm happy to say that through sheer stubbornness (and back-posting) I finally got caught back up today! And as an added bonus, I simply love today's post: http://craftchick.wordpress.com/2011/03/31/family-history-in-colour/

I'm with Jim - I also clicked "distracted" and I'm also distracted by life - student challenges, finding a way to research the problem, contacting the Dean and the Dept. Chair, writing the email, going to class, talking to campus police, oh...yeah, and writing my blog post - sometimes at night so it will post first thing in the morning - and sometimes just not getting to it until late morning. But "it's all good...." as the saying goes. Or seems to go. Whatever "go" means or even "good" on any particular day. But today is a quiet day; ergo: good.

As always, finding the time. I am a very streaky blogger. During the peaks of energy, I start Word documents with ideas and relavent links. During the valleys, I finish the posts and publish them. I am intensely marketing my second book, Views from Sandhausen, having a sell site built, and working on my third book. Today I started the research for my fourth book which I will blog about first, then build a book. This is much as I did for my first book.
Time is the constraint; you can't help me with that!

It is so hard to find content that I can share and link too.... I know I need that to increase the readership of my blog, it is just not easy.

I feel kinda lonely doing this. Am I missing something? Is there some online place where there's a party with everybody who is doing the blog a day challenge hanging out that I have yet to find?
Plus, how do blogs get selected to get featured?

    Aloha!

I put "Not getting distracted"... but what I was distracted by was life... work got busier, taking up more time, I came home more exhausted and with less time. Time constraints got overwhelming.
