We have enough violence in our communities. The children learn from the behaviors of the teachers. Why are we surprised when our children decide to solve their problems with violence.

The problem with implementing corporal punishment in today's schools is the fact that parents , teachers and administrators don,t have the same trust and working relationship as they did decades ago. It was affective during that era because teachers , principals , pastors , and parents knew each other and often lived in the same neighborhoods . The culture held teachers to a higher level of respect and parents participated and supported school activities that involved their children. Furthermore the quantity of commited teachers has drastically declined due to low pay and stress that comes with the job. The bottom line is you don,t allow people you barely know and trust partake in this type of discipline.
