I think an online BSF program would be an outstanding idea; it would be keeping up with the times. Computers are everywhere... in our schools, churches, libraries, on our cell phones, on ambulances, jet planes, even in the operating rooms.
With the rising price of gas, many people on a set income cannot afford a long drive to class. Also there are many communities which do not even offer BSF. My elderly mom wants to join a BSF group but the closest one for her is over an hour and a half away. She cannot drive that far, nor afford to, on her small Social Security check. Due to her limited resources, she interacts with family members by email, etc. So why shouldn't BSF be available to her through her home computer? Many elderly people cannot legally drive anymore, yet they use their computer every day to keep up with what is happening in their neighborhood and the world.
I believe it is only a matter of time before BSF goes online. It would increase membership by the millions. I enjoy the fellowship part of the class, however, even this can be solved by having video/web cam discussions with members who cannot drive to a formal class.

Thank you for your hard work this year, it has been a great help to me. Weekly I do my lesson and then compare my answers to your answers and most times I am in the same place as you are.
Please keep us posted on the email that you sent
4-18 to BSF headquarters about on line BSF. I am very interested in how they respond to this request. By the way that was a great idea. I pray for good luck with your move for you and your family and I hope you continue to post one way or the other.

Please don't leave!!!! Tell your husband no!!! ha!!!! I have so enjoyed your posts; when I first entered BSF the questions were very confusing to this senior citizen; when I found your blog i was ecstatic!! I have shared with many; your answers really helped me understand the questions. I am praying there is a way for you to continue with BSF. Just in case it does not happen, have you ever tried a Beth Moore Study? I do BSF in the winter and Beth Moore in the summer. I find that it really helps me with BSF. I don't pay attention to the politics i just want to investigate and learn about Jesus in the Bible.
The study I am doing this summer is Revelations; it should really enlighten me with the coming BSF Acts study this fall. Please continue your blog; I love it!!! You have grown so much and have I. YOUR WRITING IS AWESOME!!! DO NOT STOP. . . . Thank you so much for being here for this Grannie!!

While living in San Diego from 2006-2009 I served as a CL. In May 2009 I relocated to Delran NJ and was still interested in BSF however the closest class is in Baskin Ridge NJ. The closest class is two hours each way. With that said yes! I would like to get lession via the internet.
Thank you

I BELEIVE THAT IF I TRIED TO DO IT ON-LINE I WOULDN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME. THAT WAS THERE IS NO CREDIBILITY. THERE IS SOMETHING TO BE SAID ABOUT GOD'S PEOPLE GETTING TOGETHER TO LISTEN TO HIS WORD AND TO GO HOME DO YOUR LESSON AND COME BACK READY TO TLAK ABOUT WITH OTHER CHRISTIANS. I THINK IT'S AN AWESOME SUDY.

Thanks for all of your posts, stories and help! I have loved this site since I found it just 5 months ago. I'm a CL and it has really helped me!! I think I would support an online BSF, but would miss the personal lecture...
I think you have a fantastic idea... Lots of logistics to get through.... The groups could also include people from other parts of the world since it is online. I pray the Lord's will be done in with this idea. Blessings to you!

Beth Moore has online studies for many of her materials and the forums are vibrant and alive with the Word of God. I think it could work!

I love the interaction with the BSF groups, but if I couldn't have that for whatever reasons, like no group in my area or no car availibility, etc. I would love to have an online version to still be apart of it and get that teaching and accountability. I think an online group is an awesome idea, why not use the technology we have available today to reach those that couldn't be otherwise. I also think with gas prices going so high this would be a more viable option for some.
I do like the small group gathering and discussion when we meet for BSF, and I like the lecture. I think I get more out of the study when I hear views and insight from others.
