Luongo. You dance with the one that brung ya.
He's going to be the starting goalie until pretty much the end of time, if they can't win with him in the playoffs they are looking at a very frustrating decade in front of them.
I say give Luongo another chance. Besides, the pressure will still be on Hawks to win Game 6 or else they'll be eliminated.
And would they end up going with Luongo for the rest of the playoffs if they get through to the next round? If yes, they'll need to learn to trust and play better in front of him again. And what better challenge to regain confidence than playing against his nemesis Hawks?
Luongo has been given too long a leash. The team has to be losing confidence in front of him. I don't care if he is the better goaltender statistically, when a team doesn't play well enough in front of a goaltender, he becomes a liability.
