Do you agree with the Council's decision to pay the golf course's debt?

When I was a Watsonville resident I used to play Delaveaga golf course all the time. It is a good layout and if run properly should make money. I have worked on , built and ran golf courses in the past and have never seen one that wasn't an asset to the city. As far as being a rich mans game that is nonsense. That person has know Idea what golf is all about. Rifgt now My wife and I play golf almost every day. It cost us about $8.00 around including carts and range balls. That comes out to $232.00 A month. How can we afford it on retirement pensions ? We do not eat out very often, we do not go to movies, we do not take vacations. These are our choices all because of our love for the game. If I still lived in the Santa Cruz area we would be regulars at Delaveaga. It is a beautiful golf course. The city council made the right decision and I think in the future you will thank them for that decision.
