Do you prefer paperbacks, hardbacks or eBooks?

i obviously love all of them, but if i would have to choose, i would choose hardbacks. I like that the covers don't bend and flip and stick up. When i read paperbacks, i always want to bend the cover cause it just flips around and does not stay open. Bad habit, so i like to avoid that. I do like ebooks, but i have yet to purchase books on my kobo, so i have not read a full book yet on it.

About 99 percent of books released in this country are hardbacks. The only paperbacks i own are in other languages than my native one.So i am used to hardbacks and i prefer them too.

I've loved books all my life, especially new, hardbound, huge and heavy textbooks. I just love the smell of a new book...and I love how it looks and feels when I've totally worn it out...it's a personal thing. However, I've recently gone into e-book reading when I received a Kindle as a present. It doesn't give me the same personal feel...but it's very convenient. I can bring as many books as I want all at once, it's so light and easy to carry around, reading is effortless as I can change the font size, and best of all, it considerably lessens use of paper...making a huge impact on the welfare of our environment. I love books, and I will always love books...but e-books are personally and environmentally more practicable...and for that I choose the e-book.

I like them all for different reasons. I love how hardbacks lay flat when open, so i can put them on the counter next to the sink and still read while doing dishes. Paperbacks are just so portable, and perfect for reading in bed. Plus my wrists don't start to hurt after holding one all day. I do have to admit though, I love my Kindle, especially when travelling. I recently spent 8 days on vacation and read 7 books, I was so happy that I didn't have to find the room in my luggage for all of those books and was able to just take my Kindle with all of the books that I wanted to read preloaded on it.

I am dubious of e-books. I have yet to find an e-reader that feels intuitive and cozy, the way a book does. It's a tactile thing.

I love paperbacks! They're perfect for every occasion - you can put them in your bag, carry them around... and they look so gorgeous when they've been worn out a bit!
