Day After Tomorrow??? ok, well at least you didn't say 2012! I would tend to think almost, though, that the POST-apocalyptic part of Day After Tomorrow starts at pretty much the end of the movie. the "apocalyptic" part takes place during the film.
Have to say that the day after tomorrow is one of my favs.
My other fav post apocalyptic flicks include day after tomorrow, dawn of the dead, and resident evil:extinction
