Benson and Stabler are the two who make the show. I will not watch it if they leave because no one can replace them. I've been addicted to this show for years and I'm very unhappy that they will no longer be on the show. I guess I'll just have to keep watching the reruns.

I absolutely love Elliot and Olivia....if Chris must leave [I suggest you pay him a small fortune to stay] I agree Ice-T should definitley replace him. We who love the show are familar with him and do not have to get used to a brand new charactor. Bring in a actor to take over Fin's role and I thimk this would make the transition easier. I am a 74 year old grandma who "hates" violence.....yet, this and the new show"Blue Bloods" are my favorite shows. I watch all the reruns of SVU. DO NOT END THE SHOW!!!!!!!!! Erma

I can do w/out Christopher Meloni. I think he's a jerk, but Mariska is great. She's overcome a great deal in her personal life, from the wreck that killed her mother (Jayne Mansfield) to her health. Fin and Munch need to stay with the program. They are the perfect duo. I love Ice T (his new program is great) and Richard Belzer. My daughter saw Belzer in the airport in Denver. He was very personable.
I love SVU. In fact, I watch all of them including L&O:UK.

Never will i evr wac NBC's Law and Order SVu with out Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni. It has disgusted me to think that theyare even considering replacing him. There is not an actor out there that can ever do the job that he has done, no matte how many awards they have one. The rates will drop it will not be as good no matter what. 12 seasons with him is good enough I guess. It tears at my soul to say this. The show has inspired me to lave and to think you can just replace that person...? No never.

I don't want the show cancelled, I don't want Meloni to go. I don't think Mariska should be tied into any contract she doesn't want to be tied into, she has a family and I fully respect her wanting to spend more time with them - that does not mean that I am not distraught at the prospect of SVU without Olivia though. I don't want new lead detectives either, male or female. I just don't want the show to change, even though I know that's not possible. Benson & Stabler are a team, THE team. They are the backbone of the show. While I love Fin, Cragen and Munch.. there's no SVU without Benson & Stabler as a team.
