Natalia, i have been meaning to buy seeds from a company called Landreth
(landrethseeds.com)...it's supposed to be very good; check out its
lovely website (the company sells flower seeds as well).....Lorraine
Not having a car makes it a little hard to access some of the farmer's markets
in San Juan but I make it a point to visit the one that is held monthly in Condado
on the first Sunday of each month...this past Sunday, the produce on
sale included hydroponically grown tomatoes and spinach; they were
excellent, the tomatoes plump and juicy and tasty and the spinach very flavorful...i also
bought a bag of aji dulces and some locally made goat cheese which unfortunately didn't measure up to its billing as Puerto Rico's answer to French chevre...
there were a lot of people at the market which makes it a lively place to visit... i have been
meaning to visit the farmer's market in old San Juan which is held on Saturday mornings
but i always manage to oversleep!
