IRL Girl doesn't know what she missed out on. Fan since 2006??? LOL.
Some of us actually watched the great times during the 80's and 90's when the series was at its peak.
Look at Edmonton. 15,000 fans on raceday?? Give me a break.
The race used to have 80,000 fans under Champcar on raceday.
    Just another IRL failure.

  • Hugh Joergen - 13 years ago

@ fIRL GIRRRRL - you've been a fan since 2006?? *snicker* I've been a fan since '70 - you have NO IDEA what you missed in the 80's and 90's. *HINT* if this series is so great, where are the millions of fans who used to watch and attend? IRL/IICS has devolved into a cult, and the supporters are exhibit A.

No one needed to SELL and MARKET that "other series". People KNEW when it was coming to town, or when it was going to be on the tube. The fIRL GIVES away tickets - and most of the freebies don't even attend. *snicker*

How did that "100's show up for Free Friday" at Toronto grab you? *snicker* That "other series" used to have 15,000 - 20,000 PAID spectators on Friday - which is more than most fIRL events have on raceday. *snicker*

Let me guess - you're a Danica fan, too ............ LOL!

WTF is Indy car? There is no such thing anymore - just some silly, phaggy lookin' underpowered backbreakers wheezing aound the track at full throttle. And the fat azz Gomers, who regularly put down NASCAB fans, are too effing stupid to figure out that Mindy Cars run on ovals flat out, it is just like restrictor plate racing!! If I want to watch plate, racing, I'll watch NASCAB, not Mindy Cars lame azz version of it.

Indy car died in 2008, when meglomaniacal Gomer overlord FTG and FKK exchanged handjobs and sold out the last REAL racing series in the US - despite what demented punching bags like DUHfender and the Crack Forum idiots say. Nothing funnier than seeing the D-bags hooting and hollering about .000000001 ratings.

Nope - Indy car is dead - but some people have their nose buried so far up FTG's backside, they don't realize it. The beauty is, with the Brickyard 400 declining in attendance every year, and the windfall from that event dwindling, the FTG/HariMari klan won't be able to prop up the IICS abortion much longer. When it dies, we can bury idiots like DUHfender in laughter.

I see that there are people on here that hate IndyCar and I respect your opinion, but if you don't experience it in person then Shut It.

I have been a fan since 2006 and have been going to races since 2008. I have seen a difference since IZOD has come into play. They are attracting new people everyday. Yes they might be giving away tickets to a race but think about where it is, Who wants to go to Vegas for a race and not a casino? The fanzone that IZOD and IndyCar nation have introduced is a great why for people to not only hear from drivers and get autographs but also a chance to meet people that are interested in the same things as you.

They are out there more with the commericals and not only introducing the brand but showing who the drivers are.
Izod is good to my series and I can't wait for Vegas!!

AON and Manchester United...a winning combination!

  • NASCAR rocks! - 13 years ago

Comparing the 2nd or 3rd biggest NASCAR race of the season to the alleged spectacle? You're joking right? If the Indy 500 barely got the same ratings as the Coke 600 this year, they are in major trouble. Wake me up when the Indy 500 even gets half the tv ratings of the Daytona 500.
NASCAR doesn't work at Indy because the track sucks. They would be better off cutting off that race and letting the Hulman George family lose even more money. Lets see them try to prop up the dying IRL without NASCAR funds.
Hoping for for the IRL to go to NBC when they are getting mediocre ratings on Versus. Thats a laugher. Late night poker on NBC probably gets higher ratings than that joke of a racing league.

  • bob - 13 years ago

Tell me, who won this year U S 500 at Michigan? Who won the CART/CCS championship in 2010??????

IndyCar is alive. CART is dead. Stop worshiping the dead.

IndyCar rules. NBC and NBC Sports (nee Versus) ratings will continue to improve as time goes by.

And don't forget WHICH race had the higher ratings on Memorial Day this year. (Hint - It WASN'T the 600 miler in Charlotte!)

Also, I anticipate a LOT of empty seats next weekend in Indy than there were at the Indy 500 this year.

No brag, just fact. NASCAR is dying in Indy. The novelty has worn off and the boredom of the Brickyard 400 has taken over.

hey ftg cart folded in 2008

  • NASCAR rocks! - 13 years ago

IRL, is that the series that NASCAR stomped all over.
Nobody in America cares about Indycars.
    Them foreigners racin' Honduhs...
Be an patriot and support your fellow Americans.
Don't be supporting a bunch of sissy foreigners driving a bunch of sissy foreign cars.

  • John T. Howard - 13 years ago

You guys just don't get key metrics. Anyone not voting for IZOD has to be a blithering CART apologist stuck in 1995.

  • Big 3 - 13 years ago

Nike is the best sponsorship out there. Long live the NBA.

  • danica patrick fan - 13 years ago

Hai, dont u be dissing the indicars.

  • I am Tony George - 13 years ago

I pissed away $600 million of my family's fortune because I thought people would bow down to my leadership. Instead my family kicked me out from the family business. But at least the gomers from Indiana still worship the feet beneath me. Bow before me gomers!

  • FTG - 13 years ago

    IZOD! IndyCar Dominates
-You mean the 0.2 and 0.3 ratings aren't low enough?
    Empty grandstands?
    Free tickets to IRL race.
Ropin' Randy trying gimmicks to try to desperately get anybody with a pulse to drive a crapwagon.
-Out of curiosity, what are CART/CCWS television ratings for 2011? Any good gossip in the paddock to share with us?
Don't worry, you won't have to blame CART for everything after the IRL and the Speedway is buried and dead in a couple of years, if it even gets that far.
The empty seats, bad ratings on Versus will do that for you.

  • IndyAndy - 13 years ago

    IZOD! IndyCar Dominates

  • MindyAndy - 13 years ago

Don't worry, those 0.3 ratings say that the grim reaper is coming for them next.
Not to mention all that bare aluminum and free tickets won't keep the series up for long.

  • Burl Hatterley - 13 years ago

Burl here with the facts. Even with the small number of IndyCar fans voting "Chicago-style", the results still show a third place out of four and a single digit percentage. Shows just how teensey the sport actually is in the overall scheme.

  • IndyAndy - 13 years ago

    Hey FTG & Defender:

Your racing series has closed up shop and folded due to lack of sponsorship and vision.

    Bummer, dudes.

  • Defender - 13 years ago

    MUAHAHAHAHA.
I got my trackforum buddies to vote repeatedly and often. Heres what they had to say about this as well.
-After you vote, close that window or tab then reopen it and a new poll will come up so you can vote again,... and again,... and again,... and again,... and again,... and again,... and again....
-I voted... Chicago-style... until I could not vote any more.
-You can vote as often as you want in that poll
So take that survey people, we are only 2nd to last...LOL

  • FTG - 13 years ago

I see the trackforum losers are here rigging the votes....Voting repeatedly to try to get the percentages up for the Irrelevant Racing League when truthfully, nobody watches it.

  • Brad Dill - 13 years ago

Interesting I had never heard of Aon before, now I know why they are so far ahead. All Aon employees are asked to vote for Aon, pretty funny.

I see we also have people who refuse to live in the present. They are still stuck in the 1996-2008 split of IndyCar. Its been almost four years, but they can't get away from the hate. Kinda sad.

I would imagine Izod, for the price, is actually getting the best deal. They certainly seem pleased and the Izod Indycar Series seems pleased.

  • torontoworker - 13 years ago

Dream on. They are ready to leave the crapwagons as soon as they can hit the points for their 'out' on this hairbrained waste of shareholder value contract. There is NO data to suggest ANY success here promoting sales of IZOD products against this funding. Exposure time on TV or newsprint that DOESN'T earn hard revenue is at the end of the day - a loss of value. When will the marketing arm understand that the snake oil salepeople at networks are there for themselves and not you? A 10 year agreement? You've got to be kidding me! Meanwhile the budgets for staff visiting clothing outlets is nil - the place you want to be visiting in order to promote sales. Will someone wake up the marketing dept - perhaps right size it.

  • Paul - 13 years ago

IZOD [Phillips Van Huesen] making a bold statement in trying to identify a motor racing demographic other than NASCAR. Definately more hip. IZOD really banking on open wheel road, street and oval racing to continue to make a dent as NASCAR slowly but surely continues to wain.

  • Johnny Malafama - 13 years ago

IndyCarSeries s ucks. They're cra pwagons.

  • Annon - 13 years ago

@ Fail....oh shut up and leave Aon it you dont wanna work for them and stop your complaining. Morns like you we could do with out....and Ps I do work for Aon and believe me no one is forcing me to vote or stand up for Aon but your attitude sucks.....stop dragging the rest of us down to your level...truly pathetic....

  • Yabba Dabba - 13 years ago

I really hope fail is not the center of "atraction" here, it'll be like a massive uninvited prison gang bang.

  • Freak - 13 years ago

    @fail ..
    stfu!!
i dont knw abt company's publicity but u are really the center of atraction here!!

  • Raman - 13 years ago

    Aon & ManU Rocks....

@Fail : but see how much publicity the company would get and the increase in the number of clients. And inturn better oppurtunity at workplace... Be optimistic dude... and cherish the Moment...

  • Zulfia - 13 years ago

AON is always my choice :) Go AON !!!!

  • mahesh - 13 years ago

  • Zubair - 13 years ago

    Aon :)

  • Alex Rocha - 13 years ago

All Aon-ManU jerseys are sold out in Mexico.
Keep up the good work Aon-ManU!
    Go Chicharito!

  • Fail - 13 years ago

    @Cristy

Like I said I am trying to leave I really am. But back to the original point, having employees of a sponsor comment on how well the brand is being promoted is pathetic, but typical of what I would expect from Aon.

PS loser only has one o but keep on winning with Aon in Venezuela.

Please forgive the brevity of my comments - its hard to type this with Greg Case wandering around the floor watching what I am doing.

  • Cristy - 13 years ago

    AON VENEZUELA GO AHEAD!!!!

On the other hand, I am agree with CN in accordance to the respond to "Fail", why don't you go to another company in where you can feel great at working?

By the way, If FAIL is the name you use for you to show, is sad, because this is first step of a looser.

  • Fail - 13 years ago

    @LD

feel free to point out my errors.

  • LD - 13 years ago

@Fail - I hope your current role doesn't involve grammar or punctuation...

  • Fail - 13 years ago

    @ CN

I am trying to get out trust me - its just that Aon only hires bad employees like me so no one else is willing to take me on.

As for not being any different from other companies - why is that the benchmark for what is right or good? If Aon walked off a cliff would you do the same because they did? Outsourcing is bad for the US and spending $120m on a sponsorship for a football team is just as bad - one might go as far to say really stupid. Considering that Aon is not a retail insurance broker how far did the Aon money go as far as attracting new business? great we now appeal to the man on the street with his motor policy premium which he can't place with us anyway because we are interested in corporate brokerage right?

And who was on the Man U jersey before Aon? AIG - most people now just associate Aon with AIG, which was a great company right?

    @tmac

I would have hoped that Aon would have spent that money on developing its infrastructure or invested in its people not on a football team for a bunch of blokes to chase each other around a paddock. LAME I say again LAME.

  • tmac - 13 years ago

Fail, the money spent is a charity/sponsorship. Wouldn't they have found somewhere else to put that money is not on ManU?

  • CN - 13 years ago

@ Fail...if you are that unhappy working for Aon, why not leave the company and take your negative attitude elsewhere...you are in charge of your destiny, not Aon!

Also, Aon is no different than what any other company in corporate america with regard to outsourcing jobs, paying for sponsorship for advertising, etc. Other companies just do their sponsorships in different ways that aren't so public.

  • Juan Carlos Tavera - 13 years ago

Aon & MU say: "Thanks Chicharito"

  • Fail - 13 years ago

@ JB I know who Aon are - I work for them unfortunately, the company used to be great but

Aon and Man U together? who gives a toss, look at Rooney the poster boy for our children to look up to? That is whay you are backing that is where employee money is going - yeah great investment Aon truly awesome. I am sure we make a direct line between what Aon paid for the Man U sponsorship and increased revenues? or will that ever get passed along to employees? no instead they will charge each office a portion of the fees that go to the players - I say again LAME.

@ mk - you are never asked to do anything by Aon you are told, like the outsourcing of your jobs and the redundancies of colleagues all over the US. But keep buying into the corporate bs they are selling you.

  • Innani - 13 years ago

Aon and Man U are united together

  • JB - 13 years ago

Lame....don't think so!!! At least Fail now knows who AON are!!!!

  • mk - 13 years ago

We weren't told to vote we were asked...BIG difference!

  • Fail - 13 years ago

Aon employees were told to vote for the Aon use of Man U............. lame.

  • Nosipho Ngxulelo - 13 years ago

    When i think MAN U i think AON !

  • Karl Pilkington - 13 years ago

    Head like a $%&*# orange!

  • Le Tuan Minh - 13 years ago

I like Aon rather than MU :>

  • Diale - 13 years ago

Aon & Man U moment is now.

  • shanmugam ranganathan - 13 years ago

East or west "AON" is the best.. :)

  • Ivy Chen - 13 years ago

Cool! Manchester and Aon, the best!

  • Rooney - 13 years ago

Well, Nike is Nike. It's everywhere. Others, unfortunately, were too minor of sports to be considered. UEFA CL Final may also be considered "minor" in the US, but its presence around the globe is at least similar to... the Super Bowl.

  • Kyle Gavan - 13 years ago

    GO AON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : P
