Bill Russell played flawless shortstop for many years,kept quiet while others got the attention,his hitting even improved as years went on,he was a true dodger icon,and even more of a true gentleman of the game.

Why no Don Zimmer on the list. Not the greatest, but held the Fort from PeeWee Reese till he lost position to Wills. He also probably took the hardest "one for the team" with a no helmet pitch "HBP" to his head.
