Amen to C. Bauer's comment. Why does it take so long for you to change questions. There are thousands of polls out there, yet it takes weeks for you to add a new one.

So, Jeff, are you just on scotch benders for several days? It's time for a new poll.

It is the job of the power company to provide the power...
It is my job to pay for the power...
As long as I pay, they have no right to restrict or "monitor"...

Your question is phrased in a manner in which only a dimwit would say 'yes.' Of course, no one wants a utility company controlling their thermostat or any other aspect of their life. Your concept is fine, but the wording of the question makes the survey rather pointless.
In a related story, 12.5% of the general public is now known to be comprised of "sheeple", a mutant humanoid species incapable of thinking for themselves. The alien invaders from a nearby nebula are eying this population segment with intense interest so they can toil in the underground caves and feed the alien species with their blood.
I have a new poll question for you.
"Would you like to read a new poll?"

Thank God, it's now down to 4%.
Make that 13%.
