I think that certain players are not good for the position they usually play for the club. for instance, take Johnson, he is a good attacking player, but I can't see him defending as good as kelly. So why can't kelly play in defence and johnson in front of him. At least there is a good defender when Johnson looses the ball. The Ist goal we conceded from Rooney against Utd during our last encounter shows perfectly what i am saying, since Johnson instead of tackling Rooney after he was almost inside our goal line on the Right Pole, he went through rooney's left side as if rooney was going to let the ball pass him. That wasn't a defender's job he did there but an attackers move.
On our Left side defence Enrique is a better defender, but still he is more intuned to attack than defend, since the last few games i saw him play, due to his attacking motivation, he s/times looses the ball and can't be able to remedy that situation. last game against Utd in Old Trafford, I've seen Enrique struggling with Valencia. So we could always play some youth like Robertson or Robinson (don;t know which is right of the two names). We have also Aurelio on that side, bearing in mind the physical fitness he is in, since it was ages ago from his last match.
Downing is really another player which s/times gives you his heart out, but then on occasions you start questioning yourself if he is playing or not.
Carroll is another of this kind of players. Last i saw him against Wolves, i was of the impression that he is fairing good, but then against Utd I reverted my opinion and that he is going through a bad patch of his footballing career and hope that this will come to an end instantly;
I feel sorry for Liverpool and its reputation and it is very sad to remember that Scholes and Giggs were two Old footballers which outclassed us and can say they equally meritted the player of the match. Between them they are over 70 yrs and we have a young team and did nothing.
For instance Why wasn't Adam introduced in the start line. why did Henderson play, if he did play, because he was very quiet till he was replaced. Jay Spearing is not as bad, but still i thing that certain players need to play with other lower clubs in order to deem fit for liverpool superclub.
