What role should the U.S. play in trying to solve world affairs?

When I begin to think of America’s role in global affairs, I tend to think about the problems that other countries have… And then I begin to think about all of the problems that we have right here in the United States. Comparing my own life to the United States as a whole and comparing other countries to other people’s lives, I consider whether I would put other people’s life problems in front of my own. As an independent woman, I think well of course not I want to make sure that I have all of my own issues taken care of before trying to help someone else with their problems; because who am I to help someone with any issues that they have if I can’t even fix my own. That is where I begin to ponder the thought of America taking care of other countries problems before our own right here!

We should be the last to enter into world affairs with military means.

For all our involvement, historically, we are not particularly effective. At least not in making the world a better or safer place. Washington said it well, Eisenhower warned us well.
