I eat a Zone Bar every morning. After careful scanning of the ingredients I have found a number of the flavors to be gluten-free. They are delicious, taste like eating a candy bar & they keep you full for awhile.

I marked eggs, etc but I like all of it depending on the season. Unfortunately my body is on the edge with pre-diabetes and doesn't like all the carbs 1st thing in the morning anymore so have to dd protein or feel the effects for the rest of the day.

This will sound strange but I have steamed veges with salsa and a poached egg, sometimes I add any other left over protein such as fish, chickpeas, lentils, especially if I know I will have a long morning until my next snack. The protein keeps me going, veges are slow to digest wchih keeps me full for longer and helps to stabilise my bloodsugar. I have been eating the same thing for over 2 years since I was diagnosed with a gluten intolerance.

My husband makes me gluten free waffles on the weekends. He uses the GF Bisquick recipe then adds about 1/2 cup of GF cornmeal. The waffles come out crispy and delicious.
