Was Pat Robertson right on Alzheimer’s divorce?

How does Pat Robertson explain, then, the part of the wedding vows that also say: "for better for worse, in sickness and health" BEFORE it says, "until death us do part.". God's word does NOT say "in sickness and health EXCEPT Alzheimer's". It is arguably the most difficult and sadest thing that a spouse may need to endure in a partner but God does not make any exceptions. And until the AMA agrees with Pat Robertson and declares a person with some advanced stage of this dreaded disease as DEAD, then Pat Robertson is dead wrong.

When someone is off- balance spiritually it eventually becomes clear as a bell to everyone hearing it...God's Word says death and adultery are the only valid ways to end the sacred marriage union...I believe He meant exactly that... What Mr. Robinson is doing is twisting words as well as the scriptures to suit someone's circumstances... Robinson's stance here is dangerous as he can easily cause people to follow him instead of obeying the Word of God..His false statement is a slap in the face to all those who have faithfully attended to their mates through the hardest of times, and even more so to the One who created the Marriage Union.......

Pat Robertson is an idiot and belongs in a HOME, in reality if a spouse needs other companionship he or she should be discreet but continue to care for the afflicted loved one. What kind of message does a divorce send to your kids and grandkids, what about financial responsibility? What if the shoe was on the other foot. I have huge compassion for the spouses and kids who continue to love and care for their loved one.
