How do you feel about privacy using the Silk browser on the Amazon Fire?

I've trusted Amazon with my personal data for many years, including credit card info, and they've never broken that trust. Their business depends on it.

The company I work for uses their Cloud Services, which save us at least $10,000/month over a physical data center. We've never had an issue with any of our data, which also includes credit card data.

I trust Amazon far more than some politician who will do just about anything to get elected. I don't need some nanny government watching my data for me, I am very capable taking care of it myself.

I'm more worried about what Mr Markey knows or can find out about me. He's the one who has the power to harm me, not Amazon. My Kindle Fire was ordered on the day it was announced.

Thanks for commenting, Jen! In the future, if you comment at the blog, I'll see it more quickly...and other people will see it, too. :)

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. You can completely delete a book from your account, if you want...that would mean you would have to pay for it again if you or anybody who is or might be on your account later wants to read it (if it's still available).

    That's done at

Let me know if that's not what you mean...

It might be nice if there was a way to request that a title or issue be deleted from the "cloud's memory" so it doesn't keep coming up. I think Amazon has something like that now with the books that you've looked at but don't want to have brought up into the process (or they used to.)
