The question rather should be as to what is the most egregious ethical violation: curbing physicians ability to recoup the cost of providing basic patient care (albeit via a default and dubious single payer system) , or choosing to limit providing care to a population that can sustain a viable practice. The whole system hurts when the primary care base is eroded by an unethical payer system! The very future of medicine depends on Congress understanding this!
