@MICHELLE SMALL1. marriage is to all about love and NOT morals 2. this country WAS NOT founded on religion it was founded by the fact that they wanted to LEAVE the religion that they had and the only way they could was to leave the country that they lived in so they could do that, pick up a history book and read. its also call SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE the church and religion should have NO say of who should get married it should be the person choice of who they want to marry. 3. by the way it started with adam and lilith before there was an adam and eve (in the bible). and every thing started with a big bang its evolution.

I see that so far Common Law is getting the most votes.. Its ok to "shack up" without the marriage license but if you are of same sex, thats not ok.. Looks to me like a double standard here.. If Common Law is ok then why isn't Same sex??? I for one wouldn't put anyone in a married status that didn't go through the ceremony with the license like the rest of us married folk have.

I agree with Both. Just because "you" do not agree with the way others live whether it's a heterosexual or homosexual couple "you" should not deny anyone basic rights. This is America after all. Land of the free and home of the brave! We are all humans and should be treated the same. Live and let live, Love and let love.

So... if Common Law marriage becomes legal then that means that same sex couples can live together and be legal..

Hey Kids, There is only one NATURAL WAY that a baby is made and that should be recognized. It is not normal to use other orifices and call it LOVE, lust maybe. The natural way of making a family between two people in love needs to be supported. We are slowly slipping away from that and the world is going into the toilet. Sorry LIBERAL GAY's Truth hurts.

It has nothing to do with whom you love, it has to do with morals. God created Adam and Eve for a reason, NOT Adam and Steve! This country was founded on the word of God and sadly we are turning into a Sodom and Gamorah. We need to get back to the Bible, and keep marriage one man and one woman.

Why recognize common law marriage? If common law couples want to get married, then they should get married. They can do that. If same sex couples want to get married, then they are denied the right. It's wrong to deny people the right to marry who they love.
