Yahoo , Google and Hotmail are the best, there is no doubt about that? I have not used google plus sofar. But twitter, Orkut and facebook did not help me to increase my friendship base so I left those sites.
Google and Yahoo and Hotmail at very good while face book is basically for promoting friendship between people you already knew only hence, it is basically useless in increasing you friendship among people of different, region, religion,langauge, culture and colour. They are not democratic. They are basically dictatorial in their behavious like a jail warden is their behaviour. They frequently interrupts you and threatens to suspend a/c and cancelling a/c etc. What will happen if they suspend/ cancel one a/c lose will be theirs because they earn huge ad income who does not know it.
Sometimes it matters where you are and what the 'social purpose' is. Different countries lean to different networks. Is Baidu on the list, millions of followers there. In Australia, my home, it is hard to find any serious Google+plussers though there are millions on Facebook. If we are here for business then we can't use Google+plus can we but we can use LinkedIn. So I reckon you need them all!
You can't get better than SOKULE, one post there and it shows up on 86 other social sites
(Twitter, Facebook, Dig, Apsense etc etc!) Nothing can compare with it!

I don´t have Google as a social site but IO´d like to try it. I am at mylot and have fun and learn there.
Google has made the best decision when they came up with this social network but Ning also is the favorite as many people they find it very useful site builder and social network at the same time.
