I agree with Paul on this. If you want to vote the complete series, than at least make it "A Song of Ice and Fire" - or otherwise, for 2012 "A Dance with Dragons" - albeit, you'd have to take GRRM from the list then, if the amazon.com reviews are anything to go by.
And Game of Thrones came out like 15 years ago. If you want to mention GRRM, Dance with Dragons is the book that came out this summer.
Where is "Discovery of Witches"? That was one of the best books of the year. Agree about Hunger Games. That book came out 3 years ago.
I like The Hunger Games trilogy but seriously, author of 2011? The last book came out in 2010 and the movie not until 2012. This poll is getting ridiculous.
