Anyone who can walk around wearing a neck brace is well enough to go home. The rest is rehabilitation. For Arroyo, of course, it doesn't necessarily mean she can go home. It means she's well enough to go to jail. To save money the government can install the necessary rehabilitation facilities at the New Bilibied prisons or whichever prison she will be staying at like in Taguig. This will be a cervical traction apparatus which can be suspended from the wall or a door, a paraffin warmer for applying paraffin on the neck, the services of a good physical therapist, and all under the supervision of a visiting physiatrist. Total cost will be 10,000 pesos for the equipment (kickback included), 800 pesos per day for the physical therapist inclusive of transportation and meal allowance and 5,000 per visit for the physiatrist who will supervise the physical therapist and monitor Mrs. 'Arroyo. There will also be the repeat MRI every quarter at 12,000 a pop. The prison medical director can also receive an honorarium per month of 5,000 for over-all supervision ( a la chief justice). This should keep taxpayer costs down while ensuring Mrs. Arroyo gets better.

What GMA has done is unforgivable offense to the filipino people. She has used the highest positon of the land to mislead, cheat, rob, deceived and the degrade the presidency as a laughing stock of the international community. She, along with her cohorts should answer to the Pilipino people in the way criminals are made to answer in accordance with the law and our constitution. She has broken a sacred oath to defend our constitution, protect the rights of every Pilipino, and to make their lives better. This woman should suffer and face the wrath of the people she made suffer for over 9 years. Let us go with conviction after the others who perpetuated the sufferrings of our people. Lets us unite and punished these people who has done grave sins to our people and maybe it will be the dawn of a new honest, and respectable government that we all deserve. We the Pilipino people is a reflection of who our elected officials are, hence is a reflection of who we are. Let us once and for all go after these criminals who made and are making the lives of millions of our country men misserable. Justice must be blind and "must" be applied to all regardless of age, gender, position, and wealth they have that was plundered form our coffers.
We should follow our justice system and treat everybody equally. That is how simple it is. If we can do this, I think we can progress because corruption can be deterred. Compassion and presumption of innocence is not ignored by reason of equal protection and application of the law. To me there is no difference between Mang Pandoy and an ex president. The law should be applied equally to both.

I don't think gloria is guilty for electoral sabotage issue... this is a personal issue between aquino's government and previous pres. estrada. what happen to ninoy aquino's case ? , panfilo lacson , marcos , ampatuan , etc.

it would be the biggest mistake for the aquino administration if they did allow gloria to leave the country. that was the right decision though. i don't care if she's truly sick or not but she should stay in the philippines.as to the report gloria and family are planning to ask for an asylum so they can probably avoid all the cases that are being filed against them. i think what the people wants is that she will be held liable and responsible for the electoral sabotage that she did last election. she doesn't deserve too much respect,people, because she's not the duly elected president. it was fernando poe jr.
Honestly, I don't like to follow politics but regardless some people may think it's corrupt, it does not justify our actions to feel no compassion towards a sick nor disabled person. No-one is perfect. We are not God so who are we to judge when she is clearly in great need of medical help. We all make mistakes.
The only thing that a person can do is to feel remorse, ask for forgiveness, learn from his/her mistakes and try to change for good.
From what I understand her case is still ongoing, and the question is where should she be allowed to stay? But why is that such a hard question to answer. Karma is already taking its course. Her illness is already a terrible thing for her to go through.
Besides, every person deserves at least one chance. So, give her the chance to get the treatment that she needs. Good health is one of the most precious gifts God has granted to us. When a person losses this, everything can diminish pretty easily and no money in the world can ever fix this. True, money can buy medications or some other things but it cannot ever buy true love, good health, and true happiness that you experience with people who sincerely care for you. And, when a sick/ disabled person has alot of love & caring around her/him, it usually helps his or her healing process as it motivates her/him to fight/persevere to get better. There's a saying that laughter & time heals all wounds. Thus, having her at home during her delicate stage would be more compassionately helpful to her being.
Legally, maybe most people want her to really suffer to the maximum and I completely understand where they're coming from because I'd feel the same way but it's also inhumane to hurt a neither sick nor disabled person when she/he is already experiencing severe pain that a person cannot even imagine. Some people may not care but we will eventually all face God as noone lives forever and every action we make are on us just like her actions she's made & are making are all on her. Besides, if she's ever found guilty, how can she serve her sentence if she's sick or passed away.
It’s understandable that every person wants justice. What is justice-- Justice is about fairness, so why not justify this situation. Send a bodyguard with her while getting treatment since it would be more costly & difficult for the country to have the doctors she needs to come to the country just to treat her. And, it would be unfair to other possible patients who could be treated by those doctors at the same day.
As filipinos and as chritians in this only chritian nation, we have to have compassion, love, render anyone respect, even thsoe found guilty, much more of our former President, who has not been found guilty by any court yet. She has been our President, Vice President and now one of our congresswomen. When she was President, she did many, many very good thyings to the country like the Ro-Ro, infrastructures, farm-to-marktet roads, oureconomy was stable inspite of the global financial crisis, and many, many others. Let us give her respect and honor due her. When she was president, she even allowed Erap to go to japan for kneee surger; Marcos allowed Noynoy to go to the US for heart by-pass.....why the should de Lima prevent Gloria from medical assistance abroad. Sana mangyari din sa kanya iyan dahil bilog ang mundo.
