Trent richardson all they if u dont like shut the fuck up

LSU's #7 is the BEST - these others did NOT stand out, just played their best against other opponents. TM stands real tall and will star in Jan - these others (with the exception of TR) will be at home watching the BEST players!!!

I think trent should win because not one of them other people did any od aginst
    a g
ood team but LSU all the other people would not get any yards aginst alabama or lsu

Trent Richardson has my vote and why does everyone think a Quarterback should get it if he didn't have a good front line do you think he would do so good? I don't think so when you have a player who can be versatile and make huge plays then why shouldn't they get the credit. Alabama is a great team and always will be in my book.

Just face facts, if Trent R played in any other conference, he would have over 2000 yds without a doubt, people are just tired of seeing Alabama excell in football year after year, hey remember the Yankees, you loved them or hated them.

Mathieu is far and away the best overall player in college football this year. He will not win this year, but he will be back next year and will be the best chance for a defensive heisman since Woodson (his defensive and return stats are already far more impressive than Woodson for his entire career). Next year, he will break the record for most career forced fumbles in the NCAA, he will be a punt returner for the entire year, he will still lead the team in tackles, and he will be even better as a corner/safety.

If Mathieu were playing for a top ranked Ohio State or Alabama, he would be the favorite right now. If LSU had won the BCS last year, Mathieu would be the favorite. It is easy to put up stats as a quarterback/running back that gets 20+ touches per game - no defender in the past 10 years has come remotely close to what Mathieu has done this year.

Everybody knows that Monte Ball is the REAL Honey Badger!

Mathieu suspended a game no trophy

Heisman = best player on best team..........best team usually best 2 of 3 or more in offense, defense, special teams.......Tyrann Matthieu plays on 2 of 3.......best player on best team, hands down this year is Tyrann Matthieu of No. 1 LSU. And his choice would help credit many other outstanding defensive players from the past who were the best players in their years except they weren't on offense. Too bad. Make the right choice this year, Heisman people.......Tyrann Matthieu.

TYRANN MATHIEU...how bout what he has done not only for LSU defense but for the offense, this guy is amazing oh and lets not forget he's a sophmore!

    @ the SEC folks:

First, I think you're right that the SEC has a right to boast after the last several seasons it has strung together. It has shown itself to be the strongest conference and is entitled to that crown until it is knocked off. That said, it is a bit top-heavy.

As for T.Richardson sharing the load (a couple of you have suggested that his numbers are skewed because he splits carries with one or two other backs): look at the numbers. The 2 backs behind ball have combined for more than 200 carries. The 2 backs behind Richardson have combined for about 140. So Ball has actually shared the load much more than Richardson (although WI runs considerably more than AL). And what does it matter how much other backs carry it? Ball and Richardson have each had nearly the same number of carries this season, Ball is averaging 6.4 yards to Richardson's 6.o, and Ball has 32 (!) touchdowns to Richardson's 20. Richardson's a great back having a great year, but there is no comparison if you look at the numbers. Ball has dominated.

Ball would have my vote. But I'm pretty sure a QB will take it (my money's on RG3).

Monte Ball hands down. How can Tyrann Mathieu even be nominated when he didn't even make first team all-american in the coaches poll?

  • Lookin' for #14 - 12 years ago

Wow... lots of SEC haters on this board. Just raw facts boys. This will be year six for SEC winning the BCS. I believe the voters called it correctly wanting a great game and not a slaughter. OSU would have been pounded by LSU. Lets remember that OSU lost to unranked ISU!!!! OSU and Stanford will be a good game although Arkansas can beat both of them. It's a good thing that BCS limits two teams per conference!
Alabama part time back Trent Richardson should win and gets my vote! If he didn't share the job with two other backs, there would really be no question...

  • SEC - 12 years ago

The media is biast toward the SEC? I guess it has nothing to do with the fact that the SEC has won the last 5 National Championships. You want to shut up the SEC biast, then how about winning a game. Trent should win, hands down! I guess he doesn't have the numbers because he shares carries between another back, sometimes two. Besides that, he usually isn't even playing in the fourth quarter. Trent would probably have somewhere near 2,000 yards if he played in another conference.

  • roll:)tide - 12 years ago

Trent has my vote hands down..... im so tired of seein other conferences fight about who is better and who sucks. get real. it is what it is, no changing. Just vote for who you want and stop crying. its not the end of the world. THERE IS ANOTHER SEASON OF FOOTBALL NEXT YEAR..... :)

everbody knows that RGIII will win the heisman on saturday, andrew luck will come in 2nd and trent richardons will b 3rd, this will b the biggest upset since kennedy beat nixon. luck should win since he had no talent around him, but RGIII has been consistent all year, take it 2 the bank, RGII will win the heisman on saturday, guarateed.

  • Pete Yumang - 12 years ago

Montee Ball all the way!!!! Best running back in the country He is the second coming of Barry Sanders and should break Barry's record in the Rose Bowl. Andre Luck and Richardson are overrated.

  • get your chilly hot - 12 years ago

Luck is way over rated and shouldnt even be in the top five. Barkley should be the heisman but he isnt even in the final 5 that is a disappointment, but if i have to pick someone since the guy i think should win isnt able to i would pick MONTEE BALL from wisconsin, he is the best back in the country and has the second most tds ever in a season only behing the great barry sanders. Vote Ball he deserves it the most for having one of the best seasons ever in college football history.

  • commonsenseisamoron - 12 years ago

Stop with the asinine "SEC is great, everybody else sucks" argument. It is simply not true. Big 10, top to bottom, is every bit as good and likely better than the SEC. Kentucky, Vandy, Tennessee, Mississippi are terrible. I'll put NW, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota against them any day of the week.

SEC has a few good schools, just like the B1G. While the top schools might be a bit better, the middle and bottom schools are that much worse. Georgia vs MSU will be a good example of this in the bowls.

  • common sense - 12 years ago

Ball does NOT get a 1000 yards in SEC and all the qb's numbers get cut in half. Trent by far.

  • The man - 12 years ago

So true Montee's are clear cut , SEC or B1G shouldn't matter, those guys are good yes but whose breaking records with less time on the field. Montee Ball has my vote

  • secbias - 12 years ago

I agree. Ball had more yards, a greater YPC average, significantly more TD's, and his team won their conference. Richardson had a nice season but nothing like Ball. Only reason Richardson is even in the discussion is the media's SEC bias.

  • dontgetit - 12 years ago

Please help me understand why anybody would vote for Richardson over Ball? Neither should win RG3), but there is no comparison regarding the performance of these 2 RB's. Ball's numbers dwarf those of Richardson.

  • paul - 12 years ago

2 SEC players will cancel each other out. It will be a quarterback, too close to call, maybe 25 votes, or less.

  • BIGYO - 12 years ago

Come on everyone... You all know tht Trent should win this.. SEC
