To compare Weaver and Kershaw without even referencing the fact that Kershaw is in the NL and Weaver's in the AL is ridiculous. Add .5 to Kershaw's ERA and drop a few of the K's (that were undoubtedly on pitchers) and the comparison is at least a bit more valid. Not even acknowledging the league differences is either 1) ignorance of baseball or 2) bias on the Dodgers.
Kemp and Kershaw are young and just entering their prime. Last season was a preview of what people have been saying their potential is for the past several years. I believe they can get better from here whereas Pulos and Weaver are quite a bit older in baseball career years and are certainly closer to the downside of their potential than to the upside.
