You are right , Pete; they did die in a "battle." Idaho's wolf hunt is not a "Hunt" at all; its a war on wolves !

at our Candlelight Vigil tonite. That's really where the term "fallen" originated, but even if it hadn't, i see nothing wrong with it. These wolves were killed for no reason. It is wrong.

It is a battle, Carla. "Fallen", therefore, is appropriate. And as good as ungulates are fairing, there will never be a vigil for those beats with the Devil's feet. Also, if people didn't let their pets run loose, they wouldn't lose them to wild animals so easily. People are to blame for this, not wolves. Deal with it.

When will the Memorial be held for the untold numbers of Murdered Elk, Moose, Deer, Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Goats, Llamas and Beloved Household Pets? THAT will be the one to attend. Using the word 'fallen' is a travesty, indicating that they died in an heroic battle. I hope there is a web cam, I can't wait to see who shows up.
