My husband came here under age (a month after turning 17)... He never lived a day in his life off of anything that was public other than a public school... Graduated high school and sadly couldn't attend college... There are alot of decent people polish, Chinese, Mexican, Guatemalan, Colombian, Cuban, honduren, salvadoren... I say judge every person for the actions they have taken to make the country better by not living off of any public help... and of course those that are crime free... Everyone should be given the right to try and make beans for themselves... sad that some Americans feel the way they do... Remember your vacations to these countries... Cabos Mexico, costa rica... Europe... Remember how these people treat you when you come into their land... Please be kind to those who mean no harm, they just want the opportunity to make a living...

I am a u.s. citizen married to a illegal Mexican and we have a 9 month old son.we are working on his papers but scared to because he would have to go back to Mexico,he has no family or friends in Mexico so he would have to sleep on the streets and it would be worse for me because I also have no one to help me And I have lupus so I can't work.without my husband here I wouldn't be able to buy my son diapers food or medicine so I'm praying that they do pass this law

Illegal aliens destroyed the United States sponsored by both parties. Congress assisted mexican illegal aliens in taking away 25 million middle class American jobs. Anyone who does not care about our laws, does not give a damn about our country. We are now BROKE!

The law is beneficial to the U.S. Citizen. The rights and responsibilities of the citizen ought to be granted to the spouse and immediate family as well. My undocumented spouse pays income tax (self-employed which is double the W-2 rate), property tax for our house, sales tax, volunteers with community organizations to help the less fortunate in our society, and supports me emotionally while I attend school and go through stressful medical issues. We have been married over seven years and take our lifetime commitment seriously. We are home together every night. A separation of 3-10 years is not bearable or reasonable. Further, we cannot live in his home country as it is torn by war violence that has caused over 63,000 deaths and missing persons within a 5 1/2 year period. At best, we may be kidnapped in that country. At worst, decapitated or dismembered in that country. Either way, I could not put my parents and grandparents through that emotional pain.

People shouldn't say that tax payers money is being used to fund imigrent laws what about all the unclaimed tax money from those illegals. That money doesn't get claimed by anyone and it is still. Being taken out on those immigrants checks but they can't claim it who keeps that money so shut up with all that bs . As far as the new laws in favor of illegals it's about time someone had the balls to help them out then maybe others will see that they are just as valuable as anyone else if not more I don't c homeless people with no handy caps trying to do what immigrants do for 5 to 6 $ an hour so don't show how ignorant people can be and do some reaserch be for y'all open ur mouth to say something dumb Ty n god bless America

I'm glad Obama is finally helpin the illigal immigrants=)...........for some of those who think that immigrants don't deserve this why don't you try living away from your family.and see what it is like going through what we latinos go through??you think immigrants take US citizens' jobs, well what about the US citizens that have jobs and quit just for the heck of it,or those who have alot of children and live off of welfare, what bout those who steal, drink,do drugs, beat up others just they can???why don't you say anything about that?????It's easy to judge others without without putting yourselfs in their shoes.I'm a citizen and I know what latinos go through the hardships they have to go through to give their family food to eat clothes to wear and a shelter........alot of americans get food stamps n gov. Welfare too n they dnt work just cu they are lazy!!!!!!!! Go and live in mexico for a few years then criticise the immigrants the ones who actually come to better their lives!!!!!!!!!!

I praised my Lord for this law to be passed! This is going to help me and many other families that are facing the same situation. This country is called " UNITED STATES" which means families should remain united not separate by documents.

Absolutely, Pres. Barack Obama broke several laws in providing the DREAM ACT for illegal alien students that calls for states to uses our "legally born U.S. citizens tax money" to provide
an education for students born to illegal alien parents.

Obama has broken the Senate Rules on "Recess Appointments"...Lied upon taking his "oath-of-allegiance to uphold the laws of the United States"...."Aided and abetted illegal aliens" in the U.S. Immigration Laws calling for a fine and imprisonment...passed a law for illegal aliens that is preferential treatment and discriminatory and against the U.S. Civil Rights of all U.S. citizens...Passed a law that only Congress may dedbate and passs...and passes the DREAM ACT illegally to obtain more Hispanic votes he wants to get reelected. Obama passing the DREAM ACT is called Immigration Amnesty and only both houses of congress can pass laws on Amnesty, not the president by himself who is committing another criminal act.

Im voting for MITT ROMNEY has stated in speaking to the public that he is against any form of Immigration Amnesty including the DREAM ACT Amnesty. Romey also is for completeing the border fence...for hiring enough Border Patrol to man the fence that will stop the magnet of illegal aliens stealing U.S. born citizens jobs and services as well as putting in mandatory E-VERIFY LAWS requiring all employers to use tyhe DHS E-VERIFY system that connects to the Social Security Administration and they verify whether the Social Security Number given by the person applying for a job is good, fraudulent or stolen SS Number within 2 minutes at an efficiency of 98.6 percent and the highest for any U.S. government agency. So, when "illegal aliens" apply for jobs or services using fraudulent or stolen S.S. Numbers they will be apprehended and arrested and deported and this system will cause many illegals to self deport as they have been doing in OKLA...VA...SC...GA...ALA....FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS and soon coming in Florida State Legislative bills such as Rep. Gayle Harrell bill# HB 1315 in the House and identical E-VERIFY Bill in the Fla. State Senate by Thad Altman - bill# SB1638 we are pushing. All Florida voters, contact me if you want an E-VERIFY Immigration Bill for the state of Florida.
Thanks very much for any help you may provide.

I want all illegals out of my country. When I went to other countries, I went there lawfully and obeyed their laws. I DEMAND that others coming to our country do the same. There is nothing wrong with returning people to their home country. If they don't like the government and oppertunities in their country - change it, like our forefathers did here in America. There are only three kinds of people in the USA; lawful citizens, invited guests, and home invaders. I want the home invaders run out of my country and their employers jailed. Our constitutional rights should only apply to our citizens. Invited guests should be extended such priviledges as we feel appropriate, and home invaders should be delt with harshly and with methods which discourage them from ever returning. These people are criminals!

ILLEGAL MEANS AGAINST THE LAW ! NO AMNESTY ,DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS. PART OF OUR NATIONAL DEBT IS DUE TO ILLEGALS IN OUR SCHOOLS,HEALTH CARE FOR FREE,PLUS FOOD STAMPS AND ETC THEY MANAGE TO RECEIVE.IN FLORIDA THEY COST PROPERTY TAXPAYERS 5 BIL A YEAR AND THE BLEEDING HEARTS DO NOT TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION. AMNESTY WOULD PUT THEM ALL ONTO WELFARE ROLLS, MEDICAID ETC ETC . DOES ANYONE WONDER WHY OUR PROPERTY TAXES HAVE NOT GONE DOWN WHEN THE VALUE OF OUR HOMES HAVE DECLINED..THIS IS THE REASON...

    The question is nonsensical........

What you are asking is it OK to overlook illegality which creates the Rule of Lawlessness?

We are a Nation of Laws......Obey them or change them but don't ignore them.

  • Johno - 12 years ago

    YES! Actually, it Breaks it.
Since our President doesn't pay any attention to the Constitution, which he took an oath to defend, why should he start now?

I think it's the best thing that has happen so far in the immigration law. I am a citizen my salf with three kids, and my husben was born in Mexico and we are woring on residency too. It's So sad to see so many family tooken apart. With the new law in, we can all sleep better and no the prossess will not be as hard for the familys. And no that the children wont loss a mom or dad, and they will remain together.

  • Chris - 12 years ago

I am a US citizen with my first child to be born soon, my wife is undocumented, I would like to join the air force but I am not sure if I can because if I join and my wife needs to return to her country then my child will not be taken care of properly because I would need "hardship" for her to immigrate legally. This immigration policy would help more people than the general population realize. Even though I would like to join the armed forces i am having these difficulties

  • Carol Rayos - 12 years ago

I really would like for this law to be passed! I am a citizen of the US ....my children are citizens of the US....but my husband is not a citizen. We are in the process of getting his residency and we fear that he will have to go back to Mexico. I need him here, although I work but like every family in the US, born or not need 2 incomes to support a family and both my husband and I are 2 honest hard working individuals.
