I was never much of a magazine reader except for weekly purchases of People and US Weekly at the grocery store. I hated how the printed issues started to stack up around the house but couldn't bring myself to throwing them away right after reading (might want to look at the pictures again!). So naturally I subscribed to the tablet versions after I got the Fire. Love the vibrant colorful presentation and extra features so much that I now plan on subscribing to Vanity Fair (super app!). The only downside is that mags cut into my book reading time!

I have the free app for usa today and also pulse so don't need newstand until my local paper digitalizes. Love the video. Am watching the original Upstairs Downstairs and also Downton Abby. Downloaded movies to watch on the long airplane ride to Hawaii before xmas. No we didn't meet the President there, but I did come back with a dashboard bobble head of him surfing. LOL

I'd rather read my mags on my iPad because it's bigger...
