If you attended this year’s World of Concrete, did you visit CC’s How-To Zone?

Always a great show, but awfully large. Anyone involved in concrete construction should attend. Annual attendance is really not necessary as much remains the same from year-to-year. More pertinent seminars would be helpful.

It's an event that should be more like BAUMA and held every 2 or 3 years. It is a huge burden and expense for both the exhibitors and the attendees to attend every year. Starts to give the feel of more of a money-making scheme for HanleyWood than an honest attempt to bring together those involved in concrete construction. I did not attend in 2010 (lack of employment), did attend 2011, did not attend in 2012 and probably will not attend in 2013 (same year as BAUMA). Hopefully I'll be able to scratch BAUMA off my bucket list.

My wife & I both spent 3 days going through all the displays, great job and better spaced this year. we will be back in 2013! Only problem-stayed @Rio and no shuttle bus from there/maybe shuttle bus passes should be sent free with registration as these are the folks who spread the word about your show (especially in Canada!)

I try to get to WOC every second year as it's a great way to meet with all our customers in Canada and the U.S. Being a Canadian company it's a low cost alternative to cross country travel. Always informative with many excellent seminars and lots to see-well worth the money!

Always wanted to attend. This year I did so this year and was pleased beyond expectation. Great to interact with professionals and see the new products. The size and scale and quality impressed me. I do historic masonry restoration and since many of the 1900 era structures are now coming due for restoring eroded mortar and stablilzing structures, there is a big and potential market in nearly every town/ city with historic brick structures - and with the green/ restoration move, I would appreciate more show space and exhibitors focused on this aspect of masonry. It's not just all a portland cement based market - the soft lime putty mortar wold is a great market worth the inclusion. The masonry cleaners and water repellants were great, - but sources of lime putty mortars less than 800 psi strength is needed.
