I'd get a small table that fits over it, and put it under the table (maybe a little desk?) in the dining room. That way you could use the upper part for beverages and glasses when entertaining (Water, soda, wine bottles that take up too much room on the dining table) and have the storage right underneath! It is too pretty to put in the basement and to big to "feature" as a piece of furniture.
